Kuhn Rikon Pull Chop- Large (green) 3 cup

I generally don't like to review items until I've given them a long time so that any negatives (like it breaks easily after a short period of time) can be accurately reported. But, I have been so excited about this item that I decided to review early. I couldn't imagine how a chopper that is manually operated by pulling a string could possibly be any good, but OMG, was I ever surprised. I use a lot of garlic and ginger along with onions....I'm tired of chopping all of it. I honestly thought I would give this item a try and end up returning it, but to my surprise, the first time I went to chop a few cloves of garlic, I was amazed! It chopped it so quickly. Then I tried with ginger, which I really hate chopping up. Again, worked like a breeze. Lastly, I chopped an onion. It was a medium size onion which I cut into eighths. Again, 1,2, 3, it was chopped perfectly. What I like about this being manually operated is that it's fast and you really can't over-chop something like you can with a motorized chopper which may chop too finely before you turn off the machine. My only concern is how long the blades will stay sharp, and I won't know that for some time. I've already been telling friends and family about this item. WELL WORTH the cost!

This little gadget is an amazing tool in the kitchen. It's it's a great little chopper and you can chop potatoes any different size that you want, you can even chop up meat in it.

This is the best chopping tool thing EVER!!! Saves time, fingers, crying onion eyes. Blades are very sharp and have stayed sharp. I bought my chopper 15 years ago, and since have bought 3 more for family members. Great for chopping onion, salsa ingredients, meat, fruit and anything else you can think of.

When the electricity goes out one can still carry on in the kitchen or, even outdoors. Can't beat it. Going to order a back up.

This tool is great. Quick and very easy cleanup. Great for so many things . Control by how many pulls for size. I have in house and camper, and bought as gifts. Highly recommend.

Very capable chopper! I saw this in action on YouTube and decided to add it to my kitchen arsenal. Works quickly, capably, and doesn't require power! Where has this been all my life? Have taken on several camping and bike trips - and it has opened a new world of culinary options while traveling. Pull the chopper cord until the contents are sliced and diced to the fineness you'd like. Easy to clean, and well worth the investment. High quality.

This is really so deceptively simple. Such a little non-electric device does such a great job and food prep. Diced up a bunch of shallots, in a matter of seconds! Easy

The Pull Chop Large works fine. It is difficult to remove and attach the blade protector. There is no instruction for removing the blade protector. The design of the blade protector is not desirable. You should design a clip on blade protector so that you don't have to remove the bottom scraper every time to use the Pull Chop.
