My order arrived on time and as soon as I got to it I checked the DOT date code and these were manufactured recently and it matched each one of the four tires. I have ordered before from other vendors and date code has been an issue and it is very important to me because I travel for work and put way too many miles on my car. Noise level is unnoticed, the ride feels smooth... rain, snow, dirt roads, heat; these tires can handle everything! This is my second set of the same brand in two years and they were able to keep up with the high mileage and that's my reason to stick to them.
I've been running the Kumho LX Platinum tires on my car for a while now, and overall they've been a solid upgrade for daily driving. The first thing I noticed was how quiet and comfortable they are at highway speeds—road noise is noticeably reduced, and the ride feels smoother over rough pavement and expansion joints. For anyone doing a lot of commuting or long drives, that alone makes a difference.
Stuck 4 of these bad boys on an '03 volvo S80. I've put about 6-700 miles on them this far so i feel it's time to give them a review. They're incredibly smooth for the price range, they balanced well, and the road noise is very minimal compared to comparable ties in this price range. Your value is exceptional, really. Traction on dry asphalt is great as to be expected, the sidewalls seem to be relatively "stiff" as compared to a "sloppy" feeling while steering which is nice if you have a vehicle with a heavier front end than usual (note the "high-dispersion silica compound and Escot casing" for this ECTSA LX Platinum.) I replaced a set of Mastercraft Stratus A/S tires, and these KUHMO tires exceed in every single category possible in my experience. Rain traction is quite well despite what i had seen from other reviews. I haven't yet tested snow traction (Northern Utah) due to this years unfortunately dry winter. I hope to return to this review with a more comprehensive update as to where these tires take me in the long run. thanks
Based on 6-months use: Road noise are noticeably quieter than the stock oem Goodyear that came with the car. As with most name-brand new tires they handle great on dry and are decent on wet roads as well. So far, they hold up pretty good on (mostly-treated) snow and sleet conditions. They slipped once on icy surface but it could possibly be due to that section of the road being not treated with salt. Will report back and update (if possible) on longevity of the rubber compound
Just recently bought a new set of these Kumho LX Platinums and i must say im very impressed with these Kumhos. Kumho has done a fine job refining and developing their tires. For a "budget" brand of tires these will not disappoint. The tires hold traction well in both wet and dry conditions. Handles light snow/slush well. Heavy snow, not so much. Does decent but not "well". The tires grip tight on corners for a passenger tire. The road noise. What road noise? Clean, comfortable and quiet ride all around. And the tire itself is a good looking tire. If your in need of a new set of all season passenger tires dont overlook these Kumhos. If you choose them. You will be very happy and pleased with your purchase!
for an all season tire.,,,these tires have great traction, good in the rain....with the amount of snow we have had already, these tires grip quite nicely...will definitely get another pair....I drive for Uber ...so I wear out tires pretty much every 6-8 months....I guess I will see how these tires do...
I was very satisfied with the quality of these Kumho ZR rated Tires for my Hot Rod Cadillac DTS Premium vehicle....The smooth process from ordering to delivery within hours. My order was 100 % accurate. I loved the ability to see the wheels and tires on my vehicle... Great workers at Callaway Fl. Walmart...Thank you Derrick %26 Allen..these tires are Awesome! God Bless
tire s are ok , standard tire , the installation was a problem this time as far as the person waiting on me , He didn't want to listen to what I had to say . He had to re do the order on the computer because I had a request witch he wouldn't listen to when I tried to tell him and then he charged me for rotation and balance on 2 tires witch I had already paid for (he wouldn't listen the 2cd. time he did it either) . Luckily the man at the desk when I picked up the car was very good and straightened the mess out for me , He definitely needs more training on how to deal with customers.
I had my tires balanced at outside shop and they are saying that one tire is not completely round and making it feel unbalanced . I contacted Walmart customer service on 2-27 and the told me I had to pay for a new tire even though I believe it was a manufactures defect . And the other 3 were fine.
I bought this tire and it blew up while driving 9 months after the purchase. I contacted Walmart asking about warranty and they washed their hands of it telling me to contact the manufacturer. I tried calling Kumho's customer service and there is nobody to talk with. I had to buy completely new tires (not in Walmart). Not recommended at all.
