Kuukuu Harajuku G's Purse Playset

Our 6 year old daughter loves this toy. She's always had a thing for purses, so the fact that the purse contains all of the pieces of the set is fabulous. There is even a compartment for the small things, like hair bows and charms. She has played with this toy more than any others. It goes on road trips and trips around the house. My 5y old loves this. She has created several fun scenes with all of the included pieces. I love the creativity it has inspired. We received this toy for my 5 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it! It's cute because it comes with an actual doll and some accessories. Oh my goodness. I am surprised at how much my daughter loves this toy. She loves being able to accessorize her. And she loves that she can carry it around like a little purse. My daughter takes this little doll everywhere and it's easy for her to just pack it all up in the little purse part and be on her way. Definitely a very cute and favorite toy of ours. We received this toy and from the moment it was opened it was a hit. My dusghters loves the details of the purse, easy to open and store all the little accessories. My 6 year old daughter loves little purses and bags that she can carry around so this was a perfect toy for her since it included not only a small Harajuku doll, but also a little purse that doubles as a playset. She really enjoys playing with the doll. There are small decorations that can be used to decorate the dolls outfit, shoes, hair, and included purse. This was probably my daughter's favorite feature. She was so excited that she could decorate the doll and kept figuring out new places to put the cute little decorations. A couple of days before receiving this toy, my daughter saw it in the store and said she wanted it because it was "SOOOO CUTEEE!". She was immediately drawn to the figure and the accessories. At the time she did not realize that the playset was actually a purse. Evidently, this playset is from a cartoon, however we are not familiar with this show. She loves playing with small figures and whenever we leave the house, she wants to bring a few small figures with her. So once she received the Kuu Kuu Harajuku G's Purse, she was very excited that her new playset could go with her easily in the car. There is also extra room when the purse is closed to bring along a few other small figures that fit easily inside. Making the playset a purse adds to the portability and makes for easy storage -- something we both like! Plus, the latch on the purse is very secure so it is not going to just randomly unlatch and spill the contents all over. It was very well thought out. Included with the playset are very small bead accessories that can be used to decorate the purse and the doll's dress. As a parent, I was very worried about this addition to the toy because 1) they are going to get lost within seconds of opening them and 2) the baby in the house is going to want to eat them. However, after a couple of weeks, the accessory beads are still decorating the purse and the dress and the baby has not eaten them. They are, in fact, one of her favorite parts about the playset. She also loves that the bow on her headband can be re-positioned to either side of her head or right in the middle. There is one big problem she found with the doll and the playset. This playset comes with a keyboard, a mic, dj turntables and a banana chair. However, because of the way the doll's skirt is made, she is actually unable to sit on the chair without her skirt coming off. It sounds weird, but the doll's skirt is made of rubber and inhibits the doll from sitting down. In order to make her sit, the skirt comes undone. So the seat becomes useless. In fact, while (I assume) the furniture is part of the TV show, it seemed very extraneous to me. My daughter thinks this set could be better with the addition of an animal. In her opinion, a girl this cute would have a cute pet. (Again, we have not seen the show so chances are that they don't even have an animal -- I don't know). She likes that one of the beads was a panda, but she thought that it would be better if she had a little panda doll or pet with her. Overall, this toy is a hit. It is not necessary to know the cartoon where this originated in order to have fun with it. What really makes this playset, though is that it all folds into a cute disco ball purse. It makes for easy travel, easy storage and easy cleanup! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I received this toy for my 6 year old daughter and she thought it was so cute. She hasn't seen the show yet but was still interested in the toy. She especially liked how you could remove the accessories and change them (with the addition of other sets). My favorite was the fact that all the pieces can be put into the purse for easy cleanup and storage. With so many toys that have little pieces, it's nice to have one that is self contained!
