[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Install was pretty easy. The gave detailed paper instructions and also an option to download an app to visually watch it installed. I like that I don't need to take the whole back off to change the batteries, the back slides up without needing to unscrew anything. Programming is simple. I could program different codes including one time use codes. Also can program it to automatically lock after 30 seconds. It has an option to make the auto lock longer too. I like that once you punch in the code it unlocks with out having to turn anything to unlatch it. Very happy with the performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing smart bolt. My wife is a very successful interior designer and recommended that we use one of these. Not only for its functionality but also because it's nickel finish is elegant and combines well with our other hardware on other doors. The installation is super easy even for someone not as handy. You will need 4 AA batteries which is much better than having a proprietary battery or some very special ones. I was truly surprised by how easy it is to program and you can even do one-time codes of you need to let someone in only one time, like to drop or pick up something. What i am most fascinated with is the fact that you can rekey your bolt if you need to. I couldn't believe it when we tried this function. And of course the original key wouldn't work anymore. I would definitely recommend this Kwikset smart bolt to anybody that is considering one like we were. Put main idea was to have different codes for different people needing to access the house. And we got souch more than that!

With teenagers that often forget their keys, it has been challenging at times trying to get them into our locked home, especially in the colder months when we weren't there. In the past we would just leave a spare key hidden, but after it was used, the kids often forgot to put it back. With this smartcode key pad, we chose a pin that our entire family can easily remember and no longer have the issue of being locked out. The fact that this also comes with keys eases my mind for the "just in case we forget to change the batteries in time" moments. My husband was able to quickly and easily install this without any issues as he stated the directions were easy to read and follow. I definitely recommend this to anyone that has kids that often forget their keys, or if you often lock yourself out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Smartcode 260 Lock. It has a nice and clean design. I used it for my basement door and love how it looks and works. The screen seems to be a little fragile but just be careful with it when you are installing it. It provides safety and convenience and that's exactly what I need! I would definitely recommend this product.

your lock goes bad less than two years old and your support team tells me you don't sell parts for your product, what kinda crap is that???

I purchased two of these to enable my grand-daughters to be able to enter the house without worrying about carrying keys. The installation is extremely well illustrated in the manual, so it was very easy to do, especially if you are replacing an existing deadbolt. I chose Kwikset as I have had great performance and longevity in the past with their products. Unfortunately only one of the two keypads functions correctly as the keypad on the second unit is completely unresponsive and does not light up. I have uninstalled the unit, checked the plugs, replaced the batteries, and performed a factory reset on both, just to make sure they were performed correctly. I will be uninstalling both and going with a better manufactured brand.
