Have had this lock for four years on my main entry door. Have it set to auto-unlock by geo-fence in the android app and it works perfectly 99% of the time. Friends and family are able to come and go with fingerprints with the keeping a log with date, time and user for both locking and unlocking via fingerprints, app or manual. Battery life 6 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a huge proponent of gadgets and tools that make my life easier. It doesn't get any easier than the Halo Touch Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock. It took about 30 minutes to install and using the directions provided, I was able to program the fingerprints of all my family members so that it would make it easier for us to get in and out of the house. I also like that there is a key just in case there is an issue with the fingerprint system; I like having the back up option. That being said, I've been using this for about a month and have had no issues with the fingerprint system at all. It is able to recognize my prints right away and haven't had any issues with non-recognition. It's also water and snow proof as I found out a couple of days ago and is still able to recognize my prints in the middle of a snowstorm. It locks and unlocks within seconds and and can be connecting to your existing Wi-Fi system. I hate having to buy extra tools, but didn't have to in this case which makes it a huge win. The app you can download is also super intuitive and easy to use. You can actually lock and unlock from the app as well so if you have guests coming, this is another handy feature. I'm definitely a huge fan and couldn't recommend this smart lock enough. It's simple design makes it convenient, secure and innovative. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy to use smart lock that will keep your home secure and has smart features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kwikset totally knocked it out of the park with this deadbolt! It works so well, is very responsive, and connects to my Google home assistant flawlessly. Install went very fast – the instructions were clear and concise. The only problem I ran into was that our 1960's door was slightly too thin! We used shims for now because we are replacing this door in the next few weeks. But if you have an older door, check that out before you purchase. What is weird is our previous deadbolt was a Kwikset touchscreen lock so I didn't even consider this might be a problem. Your door should be 1-3/4” to 2”, and they sell a kit for doors thicker than that. Setup went flawlessly with the app, connected to my Wi-Fi, and got my family members' fingerprints all set up with the lock. I then connected to my Google Home and can now lock and unlock my door with my voice! My favorite part is the fingerprint reader works so well – we have had zero issues with it recognizing our fingerprints. It works better than our cell phone fingerprint reader! It also locks and unlocks instantly once you touch the pad, no wait and no delay. You can store up to 50 different fingerprints in your account. The only thing is if you want to use this lock to let in a pet sitter, guest, or handyperson, you would need to meet with them in person to set up their fingerprint first. There is no way to add someone's fingerprint remotely, so this probably would not be a good lock for an AirBnb where someone needs access and you aren't there with them. Love love love it!!!

Purchased three years ago, has been replaced under warranty. Fingerprint SUCKS. Does not like cooler weather,in Florida so it's not that cold I managed a security system for a medium sized airport,for over thirty years, so I thought the Halo would be a good idea.😢😢

While the fingerprint function works well, it eats batteries. I replace with new high quality alkaline batteries every month. It is mounted properly with no drag issues. Connection is strong. Batteries are name brand alkaline. I have other brand lock at other doors that last almost a year. Kwikset needs to stop blaming the consumer for this known issue. I am going to have to change all the Kwikset sets from my home. Too dangerous.

I have had the lock since April and I hate it. The lock itself works well with Alexa but the fingerprint technology leaves a lot to be desired. Fingerprints disappear after a software upgrade. Wished I purchased lock with keypad

This lock seems great in theory but we've never been able to get it to work consistently, especially with kids fingerprints. Now, after 2 years, the lock it just completely dead. After reading other reviews I'm not hopefully anything will be covered by any warranty.

This lock has been a nightmare. First it would not link to my wifi, we finally get pass that and at step 4 of registering the lock it fails. I am on what I truly believe my 30th try to sync this lock. You can't add additional fingerprints without the app. you can't link the lock to anything else besides wifi. i really wish I had not purchased this lock. The features that Kwikset boosts do not work.

As much as I want to love this lock, I'm on my third one in 10 days due to malfunctions, and the honeymoon is over. Mostly, the fingerprint sensor fails and I have to use the key to unlock the door. I love the sleek, contemporary styling but the functionality has not been there for me. I think my next option is to purchase one of the keypad models, and hope for the best.

Worst lock I ever owned. Fingerprint reader never was consistant. Avoid aggravation and pass on this lock
