Kwikset Aura Bluetooth Smart Deadbolt Hardware Lock with Smartkey Satin Nickel

Following instructions, it was simple to install and also was able to rekey to other lock. Bluetooth range isn't the best but you can start it when getting out of the car and it will unlock before you get there. Also, one touch auto lock, many programmable codes, and you absolutely can't beat the price.

This product works as intended. We are very happy with it. The motor on the smart lock is way louder then we anticipated, but overall there is nothing wrong with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kwikset Aura was very easy to install. I've installed a lot of deadbolts and the screw alignment on this set was very user friendly. The instructions that came with it did a good job showing details on screw locations and electronic connections. There is also a way to use the mobile app to walk you through the installation process. When I installed this lock, I chose to have the deadbolt catch offset slightly so the door would be tight against the weather stripping. I was worried that the extra resistance would be a problem for the deadbolt motor. I was pleasantly surprised, and the unit operates perfectly. I am very excited about the added convenience of being able to open the door from remote locations. The only negative thing in my opinion, is the lock from the inside of the house. I feel it sticks out too far and doesn't look that good, it's somewhat of an eyesore. What I know that's a sacrifice we make in choosing these cool digital door locks.

I bought it on sale for my front and back door. Installation was easy even though the previous door locks weren't installed properly. I didn't do the diligence to read this only can be programmed via bluetooth and has no voice assistant components. Kwikset's app is not the most intuitive, either, so changing codes for the locks isn't the easiest.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not the most experienced person when it comes to home improvement, but my husband who is moderately handy with do-it-yourself projects had a lot of trouble with this Bluetooth smart lock as well. It took us about 2 hours to get it installed, granted we have a toddler running around trying to help so probably a project that is better to be done without kids around. I am pretty tech savvy and I had issue with setting up the Kwikset app on my iPhone 7, I tried multiple times to scan for the lock when standing next to it and my app could not find it. My husband was able to set it up on his iPhone X but the lock kept on getting jammed when he tried unlock it using the app, the weird part is that he can lock it using the app just fine. We really like the idea of having a smart lock so that we can keep track of the entries, especially since our toddler knows how to unlock doors and we are constantly worried about him escaping the house without us knowing. I am a bit disappointed but perhaps this is just not the right lock for us. Also noted that this smart lock is not compatible with some doors.

The key pad does not light up for night time. Also insulation is difficult that cable wire has to be positioned just right for the bolt to lock or it will go back to opened or half way position. Very noisy when it's opening or closing. Also I thought it works with internet but it doesn't only in your house on blue tooth with 100 feet range. How does that help I'm home already .

Lock works great however it won't stop trying to lock as it's already locked which causes the battery to wear down really fast

It does not lock. It sounds like it is going to work and doesn't move the lock. I tried emailing and no one responded to remedy the problem. I don't recommend this lock.

Installed lock and app all worked fine , my phone was able to lock and unlock the lock. I thought this is great for those rainy days I could unlock the door from my car. Then the app wanted me to setup my home. Now the app is complete garbage nothing works on it at all. If I try to open it it say setup your home so I try again and just gives me errors.

I did not realize I was buying a refurbished lock. Paid $50 to have it installed just to find out that the reseller never reset the master codes. The WiFi feature never linked up and we just ended up taking it back and ordering a new version of the lock from Amazon
