Excellent Smart Lock

I am so impressed. At first, I was very hesitant about the effectiveness of something that could be life-altering. Depending on the circumstance, a deadbolt could leave one very subjected to break-ins etc. Also, I did not trust myself to instal such an important item. I bought it anyway, carefully read the instructions and watched a video online. I must admit, yes it was humbling at first, after I was educated on installation, BAM... it was so easy. After the installation and watching it work, I have fear of using it and its effectiveness. It has not let me down yet. I love and highly recommend!

We love our Kevo convert. It makes entry easy when we have groceries to carry into the house. We unlock the door in our app before getting out of the car. No more fumbling with keys. I am disappointed that our range is not better. We cannot connect to it from our living room which is only 100 feet away. We have a WiFi booster between the living room and the door, so I am a bit baffled. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This lock is great when it works but the batteries die frequently and after only 2-3 years they had to send me a new fob because the old one died. Every time there is a problem with the fob including dead battery, it falls apart and is difficult to put back together. I didn't even know that the fob had a battery or what kind because Kwikset failed to put that crucial bit of information in the instructions. Usually I have to call on a Saturday and spend hours on hold before I can get through to a cust service rep.

Works good for about a month and then it starts acting up.
