Looks nice. Works perfectly.
Worked for what I needed and cheaper than getting it at Lowes or Home Depot for the same product. I like quickest products because I can use one key to open every know in my home.
I bought this so I can lock a walk-in bedroom closet in my apartment. It was easy to switch door knobs from the landlord's non-locking knob to this one. I didn't even have to change the strike plate since everything fit so it saved me an extra step. Now the closet is lockable! I'll have to remember to switch the knobs back when I move out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice door knobs. I installed the Kwikset Polo knobs on our bedroom and bathroom doors. Very easy job thanks to the included instructions. They work great, smooth turning knobs. The satin nickel color is really nice too. Affordable knobs as well.
I installed hall/closet and privacy knobs in my daughter's home. The product was easy to install and looks great, but the drive in collars were missing from all 18 knob sets. Kwikset customer service sent me a box, and I completed the install. I really like how quickly these are to install. Well designed and stylish.
The knob itself looks better than I expected. Installation was easy and quality seems average for the price point. The SmartKey tool was missing from the package.
These were a pain in the patooty! I've never had such a hard time with a door knob install. I'm no pro, but I'm competent. You have to slide and twist the knob into and around the screws. The screws are then tightened down. It took forever to get the knobs twisted to where both the screws were caught. Once they were caught and tightened the piece that goes into the door jam never turned correctly, a slow movement that acted almost like it needed to be greased. Thankfully we only had to install two. We bought a different Kwikset knob for another door (had a dead bolt included) and it was easy peasy. I'll go with that one next time.
Ball shaped knobs are the best. They discontinued the larger and stronger kwikset ball shaped knobs I installed years ago so I can't get exact matching for the added doors and this one was fine in polished brass when one needed to be replaced years ago. So I got this one for the new doors but it isn't as well built and nickel looks cheap. Installation is typical and as usual kwickset lock cylinders are upside down so you have to use a special tool to flip them over. I like the way kwikset lock mechanism locks the inside knob from turning when locked so you can be certain it is locked. I love smartkey. It has been handy for changing a lock when workers had to have a key. Unfortunately polished brass is discontinued so I have to go with a different brand or get a finish that does not match the hinges and everything else on every door in the house. The current kwikset finishes are either cheep looking nickel or ugly and I would have to change them all and the hinges and the peep hole and the storm door. So do I go with a different brand that matches the finish of all doors? Install a non matching finish on all doors so they all are a mix of polished brass hardware and something else? Really not a choice. Other brand has ball shaped knob and polished brass so if I have to change them all, it still wins. I lose only a knob that doesn't turn when locked.
This comes pre-assembled in an unsealed box, which leads me to think it is a refurbish or return. Of the 2 that I ordered, 1 had a dent on one of the knobs. I kept 1 and returned 1.
Replaced all my interior door knobs with Polo, so ordered this to finish off the look with the garage entry door. The interior screws were tightened all the way down before shipping. Nearly stripped the head just to loosen them. Then when I installed the knobs the bolts bottomed out before the knobs where tight. The plates gapped open. ????
