KX-TG6591T Cordless Phone with Answering Machine

I really had to search for a phone. I was having a hard time because I only wanted One handset and some had 6 what a waste for me. I did find several that would fill my needs, but I had a Panasonic before so I chose something I knew and trusted. It only had 1 handset yeah so I grabbed it.

Does a good job at a reasonable price. Easier to program than the older models were.

My 93-year old father said to me that this is ABSOLUTELY the best phone he has heard yet!! He is deaf in one ear and wears a hearing aid. If you want a great phone for someone hearing challenged...this is the ONE!

Great phone with a lot of features. It sounds great and does what it should. The manual is easy to follow. I had to buy it on-line though but everything worked fine.

I know, I know......I need to get with the 21st century and get a cell phone like everyone else. The problem is that the last cordless phone I had was a Phillips and I got use to walking around with a boom mic head set hands free so I wanted the same thing when that conked out. After looking some I came across this Panasonic, and boy does it have all the bells and whistles. Voice clarity is great. Reception is great. When it rings there's even a lady's voice telling you who's calling, so you don't have to run over to the phone to look at the caller id. Pretty cool. My main like was the fact that it has a headset jack on it, and after looking at cordless phones for a week , there aren't very many that have headset jacks, so with all the features this phone has, it was a no brainer. I would recommend this phone. It's awesome.

Panasonic makes the best phones, ever!!!! and this is my best one!!!!! Before, I had a panasonic with 5 handsets, they were all very nice with the talking caller ID so I know who was calling immediately, then there was the caller blocking so I could block any call easily and there was voice mail also but I thought I would try other phones, BIG mistake!!! When I finally saw this one I knew this was my phone - very cute, talking caller ID, voice mail, and all the bells and whistles as the earlier one without all the handsets, I knew this phone was made for me. I LOVE this phone - I can actually hear it as clear as ever!! It is exactly what I need!!!! and easy to set up also!! So it costs a little more and worth every cent and then some!!!! I will never buy a different kind of phone again, ever!!! Did I mention that I love this phone?

I got this phone for large Caller ID screen and am not disappointed! I'm very pleased that the keys illuminate when you are using the phone. I found it a little confusing to setup/use at first as it's menu keys are "hidden" as flat black spots on the handset, but once I realized that it was a cinch to navigate. I love that it has a speakerphone. I'm not sure whether I like the talking Caller ID and may turn that function off. The phone worked with my TV (I have cable phone) so that it brought up a Caller ID alert on my TV screen when it rang. I didn't like that and disabled it. The answering machine works well and has a nice speaker that is clear. You can choose between using the default message or recording your own. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this phone. I'm sure I'm barely using any of it's extra features. I'd recommend this phone if you need a good basic cordless phone. I got another brand cordless phone before this one which was such a poor excuse for a phone I had to return it.

I have had this phone only for a week. Phone was working well except when returning the receiver for the base without adequate light, I accidentally hit one of the emergency buttons which deactivated the receiver, meaning the receiver just stopped functioning. I was unable to locate any button on the receiver and/or the base to reactivate the receiver. I read through the instruction manual to find a solution but still no luck. I decided to remove the batteries in the receiver and immediately put them back into the receiver and the phone began functioning adequately again. So, basically the phone seems to be a good phone but the instruction manual failed to troubleshoot this situation which could easily happen to anyone whether in the light or dark. But, at least now, I know what to do.

I wish the message light was bigger. The arrow flashes when there is a message but you have to be up close to even see it flashing. Our old phone had a big red number that flashed and you could see it across the room.

Got this for mom when the old phone got "too complicated" This was the only 1 touch auto dialer with answering machine I could find. If I were a panasonic designer I would redo the one touch buttons so pushing on a name or picture dials the number instead of having buttons under the name area. Everything else is great.
