i don't know how anyone is complaining about this product. for $2... i will be buying this forever. there was no special tricks and 1 coat did just fine. cobsidering the other cheapest brand was still 4x the cost i am ecstatic with the result. pic is before and after, pinky has a tip in the orginal polish so its shinny

i live the matte nail polish look, and one reason is that is just a great look and the other is that matte finish diminishes the ridges I have in my nails. L.A. Colors Matte top coat provides a great product that gives a smooth matte finish that is long lasting and seems to prevent chipping at least for me. And is way less expensive than other name brands.I definitely recommend this product.

Good Buy
Works for what I need it for. Smells just like nail polish, brush works beautifully, and remember this is matte not clear.

Go-to for streak prevention
Apply this between color coats to prevent streaks. Magic. Great product. Also good for natural looking soap nails.

does what it's supposed to do which is pretty awesome. It doesn't last a super long time but I suppose it provides a little bit of protection. overall I would buy it again!

possibly expired
product was thick and gummy. If picking up in store instead of using grocery pickup you may be able to see if product is still good and the correct consistency.

Not up to the brand's typical standards
Honestly I'm disappointed; I've had better luck with this brand in the past, but this doesn't dry “matte” at all - it more or less looks like you have shiny top coat on and you just lotioned your hands… slightly less-than-patent-leather shine, not matte.
