My son had bought me one. I liked it so much I bought this one for my man cave. Love that it is ALWAYS correct and self setting. Works a long time on a battery. This one has an extra battery compartment for longer life. I would buy this again.
This is a large clock that would work for the elderly or one with reduced vision. You can see it easily and it is battery run so you don't even need an electrical outlet. The clock is attractive and I have it in the kitchen, but it its classic design would suit any room. It was very easy to set up and I thought I had messed it up, but just as the directions stated, in the morning the clock corrected itself to the real time. I am so happy that I always have the correct time and can now forget about "springing forward or turning back" during the year. I am so pleased with it that I am buying the same clock in a smaller size for the bathroom. This clock is a winner!
The clock worked as advertised. We just got off of daylight saving time and the clock set itself back an hour as it was supposed to. I was surprised to find this technology in an analog clock! It took about ten minutes to accept the signal, so exercise a little patience. I like it because it is easy to see in a dim room as opposed to an LCD display.
Couldn't be happier with this clock and will probably buy 2 more. It's SILENT, no ticking. It's accurate. And it automatically sets itself to the correct time, even adjusting for daylight savings. Be sure to give it time, -after- you get it to reset to noon, so that it can pick up the signal of the time agency and then change to the correct time.
Getting out of box w/o cutting it out requires a small screwdriver. Insert a battery and select time zone. Should sync overnight. This one is in garage and it synced in a couple of hours.
Great clock. Large numbers and easy to read from a distance. I like that you don't hear the ticking of the second hand. I had to set it manually. I'm in the eastern time zone and it wanted to set to pacific. So far no troubles and it keeps accurate time.
I purchased this clock for my office/craft room where I tend to lose track of time. The clock couldn't get much easier than this. Just insert battery, choose the time zone, and watch it set itself! The numbers are big and easy to read. I really like this clock!
In operation only 2 days, but so far so good. Plastic clock is easy to read from a distance. Did not adjust to correct time on first try, removed batteries and was successful on the second try. The clock is simple in appearance and replaced a kitchen clock which was loosing 5 min a week. I have 3 other La Crosse Technology Atomc clocks in my house. On two smaller wall clocks, the seconds hand stopped working while in use in an often steamy bathroom, but they still keep perfect time.
We've several LaCross atomic (WWV set) wall clocks--all perfrorm well. It's a great brand and product family. They work the way you'd expect--put in the battery, set the time zone ...and forget about it til the battery dies 1-2 years later. No exception, this clock came in good shape. Put in the battery and hung it on the wall. Precise to the second. Period. Only comment regards packing. While it came within another box, the Wallmart idea of packing was to toss the clock in the bottom of a bigger box and toss in one sheet of crumbled packing paper. So, the clock rattled around and packing was useless. Good thing LaCross's clock took the shipping shaking.
I have an atomic clock not the one that I ordered from you. Atomic clocks are so great when the time changes they automatically switch. Just another helpful thing in my life. My atomic clock stopped working so I ordered one from Walmart. I think it was shipped to me. I can't remember the one from Walmart. Hadn't really looked at my clock since I ordered the new one. When I did look at it I found it was working. So I returned the one from Walmart, but if you don't have an atomic clock, you've got to try them out.
