La Crosse Technology Color LED Alarm Clock with USB charging port, Black, 617-1485B

It has a lot of features but what I didn't expect was the moon phases on the display. The LED is not too bright at night and the USB port comes in handy!

if I was in the market for and alarm clock it had many neat features on it but I wanted a wall clock with the same features

Minor issue with the backlighting/display. Pics attached and last one is another LaCrosse clock in which I'll be ordering another one now.

We use the center entertainment center to keep us aware of the time. The one we had previously was difficult to see across the room. This one has two levels of brightness. We leave it on the highest one. At first sitting in our chairs it was difficult to read because it's above eye level and till back a bit. I folded a piece of paper and taped it to the bottom to tilt it forward to fix that problem. Now we are enjoying being able to see the time while we watch television.

The rating for texture is based largely on the simple, colorful, relatively large block lettering of the compact display screen. The lunar cycle display was a nice, unexpected touch.

My complaint is the display is not readable from across the room in normal room lighting on the brightest setting. I can read the time from across the room but all other info must be viewed close up from the right angle. It might be fine for a bedside alarm clock but that is not how I am using it. I have not used the alarm so can not speak about that. I found it easy to set up with the included directions however I was disappointed that the battery back up did not hold the settings when I unplugged it to move it. Nice features...wish it came in a larger size with a brighter display so I could be read 10 feet away. Overall not bad...best reasonably priced clock I could find with all the features of time, date, inside temp, humidity, moon phase, USB charging, alarm, and battery back up. Owned and used for 1 month so I can't speak to durability. One more thing...and I can't remember for sure...it seems like I tried to set the time Atomically when I first used it and it did not work. I am not sure if I didn't wait long enough or if it is my rural location. The picture was taken from about 12' away from where I was sitting, I can actually read the display better in the picture than I can from sitting in the same spot. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked. Hope that helps you decide on your purchase.

When cordless it only shows the light briefly. Does not stay on. This makes the time very difficult to see. I was hoping I wouldn't have to keep it plugged in. I know there are others that are battery operated and keeps the light on. However this is the only Atomic clock that I could find in a nice desk top size as well as displaying the seconds, which is what i needed.

The clock would not keep settings had a mind of its own.

This atomic alarm clock started flickering, and forgetting time settings. After six months, it stopped working completely.
