I have been using an atomic clock for several years and when my last one stopped working I bought this one. It has all the functions I need in an easily readable format. Pretty much the same layout as my old one, a little smaller, but easy to find time, date, day and even the temp in the room!
This is a low priced digital wall clock I purchased to use in the bathroom. Because of all the steam and moisture, clocks don't last long in the bathroom so I wanted a cheap easy to read and set clock that I could replace when it breaks. This should fill the bill.
Had a ticking wall clock for my master bathroom, but my wife said, "the ticking keeps me awake". So I got this digital clock to replace the ticking clock. It looks great with big time numbers, plus day, date and room temperature. It also has alarm and snooze PB's and an intigrated stand if you wish to put it on a night stand. But these PB's are on the back of the clock, aesthically pleasing but not very practical. I will only use the alarm to annoy my wife. In fact I think I'll set iy now. Good luck finding the snooze button Honey.
I bought these for our patient rooms at the hospital. The patients love them! The only thing missing is a small light to illuminate the readout at night.
I not only would recommend this item - I have recommended it to several friends. When I retired and stopped using my alarm clock I looked into what it costs per year to run it in electricity - it's estimated at $5.00 per year...not so much. But I also wanted a clock with larger digital letters and the date is nice - the temperature is good to have. This unit goes through one AAA Battery a year! That I can afford. I think I'll recoup the cost of my new clock in 2.5 years and I'm selling my old Sony Digital on eBay - it's all good! Order online at WalMart and ship to the store. There is no shipping cost that way.
I now have two of these, one for the bathroom and one for my home office. I have had one for over a year and just bought the second one. It is wonderful, I can read it without my glasses while dressing so I am not late and it keeps me on track while working on craft projects in my home office. The information is in large numbers and I can hang it or put in on a desk.
I installed this clock as a replacement for an atomic clock/thermometer that I was moving to another room. It has all the displayed info as the atomic clock except external temperature, which I did not need for this room. It is extremely easy to set. I didn't even bother looking at the directions until after I was done setting and mounting the clock. Only one con: No switch or mode available for Daylight Savings Time (DST). This means I will need to manually adjust the time twice annually.
$ 15 it is good deal. Over all this clock seams like working good. I was kind of disappointed once I open the box. It is little smaller than I own other two La Crosse although they have the size info in the website. Then I thought my purpose will serve. Once I insert battery I found damaged immediately. The Day letter is broken no one can read then I tried to set up time and date. Interesting this clock has nine month only. once I try to set 10 that means October it goes to 0 then 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 again 0-9 that means no 10,11 and 12. I tried few time and I confirmed this is the damaged one I got. At the same time I ordered another one, 3/4 days later I got my second one delivered to the store and I returned first order I received (Damaged) at the same time. Second one is perfect and so far working well. I would recommend this clock only $ 15
I have 3 of these clocks, that I keep on our desks. If it would be readable in the dark, I would give it 5 stars.
I assumed this was an atomic clock, but it was merely a digital clock. I searched for atomic clock Lacrosse, and it came up on the list.
