This is such a life saver for me. My husband is 83 and always asking me what the temperature is he has always been able to check for himself. Now on hospice it sits right in front of him. The screen is bright enough for him to see everything. He's so excited to have it. Great for seniors! It's accurate and gives him so much information. The extended piece that comes with it sits on the table outside on the patio. Great buy!

Bought this for replacement on my six year old La Crosse Weather Station, the new one looks nice, vey accurate, easy to install, really good deal for my investment

This weather station is great, packed with features. Date/day of the week, time, indoor temperature and relative humidity, outdoor temperature and relative humidity, barometric pressure with a graph showing its trend, high/low temperature (or relative humidity) for the past 24 hours, a 12-hour forecast display showing sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, thunderstorms, or snow, and an icon that shows the current moon phase between 7PM and 7AM. Supports additional sensors for things like rain or wind, a history button to display indoor/outdoor temperature high and low, same for relative humidity, even the current heat index and dew point. Temperature and humidity alerts, four brightness levels plus off and you can set it to change the display brightness at different times (say, if you want it dimmer at night). Its forecasts are supposedly 70% to 75% accurate which seems about right (give it 7 to 10 days to calibrate for best accuracy). I have a couple other La Crosse stations that have lasted for years, both of those and this one all share the same outdoor sensor. Everything seems accurate, has a little fold-out stand for a desk or countertop, or you can collapse it and hang in on the wall using a couple nails. If I had one criticism it would be the display is glossy, so bright light sources can cause glare and make it difficult to read. Really, very happy with this weather station!

Works

I bought this for the first time and love it. The main base runs on electric and the outside one is on battery. The color is wonderful and you can control the brightness of the monitor. I like it so much I ordered another one.

The station is good. But it is an open box product. The screen has many fingers prints. This unit should be sold as used one.

The Temperature and humidity readings are not very accurate. My second complaint is the backlight brightness button is difficult to find in the dark

The outdoor control has already stopped working after only a few weeks.

Basically useless. Only good on it is the temps., date and time, everything else is garbage. Weather forecast shows that it's raining or snowing but the sun is out. About as accurate as meteorologist. Waste of money!
