La Crosse Technology S84107 Wireless Color Forecast Station with Barometric Pressure Historical Graph

My wife and I really like the display and the info on it. The large numbers allow us to see the outdoor temp. and humidity at a glance. And the barometric pressure graph is nice too, along with an accurate date and time. And the wireless connection between the outdoor sensor and the indoor unit is very nice!

Inexpensive and works great. Seems very reliable and easy to read. Sometimes better than the local forecast.

I do really like this - it has a great display that is really colorful. But I was expecting it to be fully wireless and I was going to mount the display on my wall. But I found that while the sensor is wireless the display requires a wall cord. Which meant I had to put it on a shelf to hide the cord. It does have batteries too for backup but won't display without the cord. Otherwise it is great - nice bright display, easy setup, and temps seem correct.

The size was smaller than the one I had before. I thought that it was battery powered which it is for back up. I would have picked different if I knew it was electrical. Other than that it is good.

Disappointed that the description does NOT fully explain that unless the unit is plugged into AC power, the display is unreadable unless you press the back-light button. The batteries in the main unit are for backup power only, not primary power. Bought this to use in an RV and was not a good choice. For use in a house would be a great unit. I own another La Crosse weather station that DOES run on batteries, so will leave this one in the house and take the old unit in the RV.

I've had this for about a month now and I am not impressed with it so far. It came scratched on the screen. The weather prediction is not exactly accurate either. Even in the dead of night, it says it is sunny out at that moment. When it is snowing it tells us it is sunny as well. At other times it is accurate so I know that it is not a defective product. I am just not impressed with it and would not recommend it based on the price.

Distance between the units was about 20 feet. Outside temperature worked for a day and now I had to reset. Definitely not 300 feet like it advertised. Atomic time doesn't work either.

Bad viewing angles , dimming setting are not the best, you need to plug it in. I have a older model and it's better even though it's older, I'm returning this one

I love the color display and up to date look. My inside temperature is correct, but the outside temperature is off by 3 to 4 degree to warm. I don't know if there is a way to calibrate or not.

Base unit looks and works fine. However the main purpose of purchasing this unit was for the REMOTE data to be available on the base display. I mean who really cares about their 'forecast' - that's simply lame bells and whistles. The REMOTE device fails to maintain connection with the base. I have 'factory reset' the base unit many times as per the troubleshooting guide. New batteries in the sensor. The remote unit is only about 30 feet away in direct line of sight save for the glass of a door window. If it can't stay connected that close, and with nothing between the base and remote but a glass door, then the entire purchase was a waste. Thus it was a waste. Very disappointed. Think carefully before you make the same mistake I did.
