Not designed as alarm clock in dark bedroom.
The weather station became active right away with virtually no effort. Shows everything shown in ad. Only problem is that it really doesn't dim enough to have as an alarm clock in a bedroom. Either too bright or not lit at all. Happy with the information shown, both inside and out.
