good product at a good price. like the larger numbers that are easier to read in low light room. weather reading seem to be accurate. just uses "AA" batteries. will have to wait to see how long they last.

I had one like this before and then the numbers started looking wonky for the display other than the temperature. It has the right numbers for me and its easy to set up

So easy to set, even without directions. Nice large letters, very accurate, even outdoors. Could not be happier, especially for the price. Much nicer than any of this type I have owned before. If there is a detriment, it would be that the buttons at the bottoms are REALLY difficult to read, even with glasses -- they could be some larger -- but I can certainly live with it, happily.

Good quality product! Accurate, well constructed, built to last! I would recommend this product to everyone looking for a home weather station!

This La Crosse WX Station (M/N 308-1711BL) a very nice system, especially the Dew Point Temperature and Daily Dry Bulb and Percent Relative Humidity Max/Min capture features. Both the sensor and receiver/display units use AA batteries instead of the wimpy AAAs. However, the transmitter unit (M/N TX141TH-A) was defective. After operating for a few hours, the sensor unit stopped transmitting (Receiver displays blinking dashes for the Outdoor Temperature and Humidity values). Attempts to reset the unit as described in the instructions were unsuccessful. Returned to Walmart for a hassle-free full credit refund. Will repurchase another 308-1711BL system.

I guess I didn't read the description closely. I didn't realize the clock isn't radio controlled. Other than that it does a good job.

Had the unit for about two weeks before returning it. The unit would work for a couple days and then loose contact with the outside transmitter. Using the techniques suggested by the documentation I could not get the two units to communicate, including bring them within a foot of each other. However, after a couple of hours it would start working (and then continue for another couple of days).

The sensors on this are too inaccurate to be useful. Both indoor and outdoor humidity sensors are frequently off by 5% - 10%, though on rare occasions they are approximately correct. The indoor temperature sensor is usually about right, but the outdoor temperature is correct only some of the time. Not infrequently it is off by 3-5 degrees. The readings don't have to be dead on, but the variation I'm seeing is simply too much. When I say the readings are off, I'm comparing them to several other units I have that I've found to be accurate in the past and that are currently in agreement with each other. The display on this unit is nice. It has some nice features that would make a decent, fairly simple unit. But without reasonably accurate information, none of that matters. I've had this unit for 10 days now. I'm going to pack it up today for return.
