La Crosse Technology Wireless Weather Station with Atomic Time & Date

I am a weather junkie. You couldn't find a better weather station for the price! And super easy to setup. This is a winner!

Clear and colorful display. Provides all of the info that is needed on indoor and outdoor conditions. I chose to connect mine to an available electrical outlet but can be battery powered as well. Happy with my purchase.

Best I've had. My first station lasted 20+ years. The second 4 months. This one is the best ever and is going strong. I love the 120 electrical design, no more batteries!

This weather station was super easy to set up, so it was in operation shortly after arrival. Thus far it has been very helpful and informative, although it has so much data on it I'm still learning its nuances. For the cost, it seems to be an excellent buy for those interested in their local indoor/outdoor weather.

This is a very well-designed and very practical. This was the 3d unit I have purchased of the same brand. The first, which I purchased several years ago, continues to work well, as does one I purchased for a summer cottage. When I set up this unit, it almost immediately showed the correct time and soon showed the outside and inside temperatures and humidity level. I was surprised that it showed the outside temperature even before I put up the external sensor; I soon realized that it was syncing with a similar sensor from the unit that is several years old. I placed the sensor for the new unit in the attic so that I could monitor the temperature near a well-insulated water pipe just in case the area got too cold. It then showed both the outside temperature from the old sensor and the attic temperature from the new sensor -- very neat!

Works great. The top of the screen needs to lean back to view. When we hung it on the wall we couldn't see the digital numbers.

In addition to the colorful screen rich with weather, lunar phase, time and date information, I especially like it that this unit plugs into an electrical wall outlet and also runs on AA batteries. Indoor temperature/humidity readings seem quite accurate but are very sensitive to variation of unit placement. Put it on a table nearer to an A/C vent in the floor and you'll get significantly cooler readings. Outdoor readings are much more sensitive to sensor placement than that. It must be kept out of direct sunlight. I keep having to move it around. My biggest complaint is barometric pressure, which seems chronically lower than actual even after the break-in period. A previously purchased similar unit by La Crosse Technology, but battery operated only, gave me readings closer to National Weather Service observations for my area. But that older unit went through outdoor sensors like mad. I'm hoping this one does better in that department.

Did not state needed to be plugged in for color display. Battery is only for back up. Needed it for a trailer so will be returning it

Disappointed that the atomic clock has never worked and yesterday it said it was raining when it was dry and sunny.
