It has become next to impossible to find a powder (and liquid, for that matter) to match my skin tone that lies between Cool and Neutral. L A Girl's Ivory compact is the closest I have ever found. In fact, it's a downright match. I use a big, fluffy brush to apply it and it works seamlessly. I get an even coverage and it stays put for the day. Of course, I do use a primer, at the beginning, and when done with my makeup, I use a finishing spray to hold it all in place. This does not negate my pleasure for this pressed compact. My order is for 2 as they will serve as back-ups for the one compact I am about to finish. Now to talk about how this feels. It's soft even though it is coming out of a pressed compact. My large, fluffy brush has no problems swiping up some product and transferring to my skin. I have only tried once to use it as a wet foundation and it seemed too much trouble. I get exactly what I want dry.
Very good fresh look
I love this powder and it's as good as my mac powder. I am not one to review makeup but this powder is amazing. I purchased the nude beige for my face on Mac I am nc35 and true bronze for my contour. It makes me look super filtered and matte all day.
I have this powder in both Chestnut and Cocoa, and they are both the absolute truth all day long! I use the chestnut with my cocoa foundation and the look is so good I almost scorch my own eyeballs! I use the cocoa as my contour and together they are like the wonder twins or something! The pigmentation is deep and long lasting. I only apply the powders once, and maybe blot and touch up my oily t-zone once again, and that is it for a 12 hour day!
Not cakey, smooth, easy to use and product works as advertised.
It produces a beautiful finish to my makeup at an incredibly affordable price and I've been using this product for the last 6 years!
i originally bought these powders for drag to sweep away translucent all over my face powder so it wouldnt leave a white cast (im a brown boy) and it does just that. but what i also really liked about it was that i could carry it around when im NOT wearing any makeup and am presenting as male to smooth my skin discolorations (under the eyes, around the lips, my nose) and since this powder isnt SUPER full coverage, it really leaves this nice finish that blends in with bare skin so nicely! i usually have trouble doing spot coverage because the finish is usually too dramatic of a difference but this one is just right.
This is a pretty amazing and smooth powder--especially for dry skin. It doesn't cake up and actually seems to help "fix" some iffy foundations. The only problem I had was oxidation. I would say definitely err on a lighter shade if you are deciding between two. Also, it seemed to use up fast--and I just use as a setting powder. If you are using as foundation, it's gonna go quickly. Still--pretty dang impressive powder.
This is EXCELLENT coverage! Value too! WOW! Highly recommend!
it wasn't what i ordered. i ordered soft honey loose powder and received pressed instead.
