This queso fresco crumbling cheese is a hit with my mild cheddar and a few other cheeses to make my own Mexican style shredded cheese. I've stopped buying pre shredded cheese and use either my old school hand shredder or my electric shredder. This was the first time I added the queso fresco and so glad I did. I cooked up some of my own ground Chuck and onions, added some seasoning then just put a couple small tortillas on a bake dish topped with the cooked ground Chuck and then the cheese. Oh boy, it was in the oven at 375 is for maybe 6 mins and it was great. The cheese melted so nicely and had great flavor. I'm 70 and a widow so I've had to learn new habits cooking for just one. I do recommend this cheese.
I buy this queso fresco often because it reminds me of the cheese I used to eat in Turkey. The texture is fresh and crumbly, and the flavor is mild but very enjoyable. It works well with breakfast, salads, bread, or simple homemade meals. I like that it is not too salty and feels close to the type of cheese I am familiar with. The 10 oz size is convenient and usually does not last long in my fridge. Overall, this is one of my regular purchases and I would definitely buy it again.
Good Hispanic cheese . This cheese is good for tacos or tostadas de pollo or whatever else
this is probably my favorite cheese. it is mild and i enjoy it in slices or shredded. it goes well on burritos, tacos, or anything else. sprinkle it on toast.
This is my first time trying this brand turns out it's great. It's probably one of my favorites.I use this to make Chile's Rellenos..But it's also perfect to have with fresh corn tortillas and salsa
This cheese is the most similar to a queso panela that is most used for enchiladas, LOVE the flavor, I use it on my salads too. It's salty, crumbly and has great quality. The size is perfect for 2
medium texture very mild flavor just wanted to try actually a bit disappointed nothing wrong with it could crumble it, cube or slices dont think you could shred it less salty than feta there are probably better choices
This is the first time happening to me Purchase 3 cheeses and 2 of those ones were slimy and weird consistency.
Ordered one (1) 40oz cheese instead i got four (4) 10 oz Everything would have been satisfactory if i had been charged for the one 40 oz instead of getting charged the price of one 10oz four tines which came up to more than the cost of one 40oz Unacceptable Plus my coffee box came open and had to count the number of kcups to see if they were all there. And there were 99 not 100. I counted this 3 times Again unacceptable
not a fan of this cheese I don't know what it is about a but it won't melt down no matter how long I cook it or bacon I don't know if it's supposed to just stay solid or what but this seems like that Dollar tree fake cheese that doesn't melt and I'm just not a fan
