I was worried that my old, grumpy big dog would fight wearing a harness to get up the stairs so I needed something easy to get on that would be secure on him. The super wide band of velcro is VERY secure and makes it a simple process to get on. The first few nights he tried to run off after getting the harness on but the harness remained on him and he quickly became accustomed to it- rather than it falling off and him learning how to remove it. Getting him up the stairs now is a snap and he waits at the bottom of the stairs every night to get the harness put on him rather than struggling on his own to get up the stairs to bed.
Like. My pup is 50 lbs (chest 34") XL. Love the adjustable hand straps and ease of application. Pup not only didn't mind using, he actually didn't notice.
Great product for my fur baby. Very sturdy to assist my 14 year old doggie.
I bought a medium for my 50 pound dog. It was WAY too small. I ordered an XL. It was too big. The velcro is not very secure. It doesn't really seem to provide that much support to my dog. It may be sufficient for use for others.
