Constructed very well. So impressed by the quality. We use it almost primarily upright (like a huge satellite dish) to shade our patio. Works great. We have 2 sand bags holding it down as it has a huge wing span to catch the wind!! So pleased we bought 2!!

I love this umbrella. It is the perfect addition to my pool deck. Although it does not come with weighted stand for the feet, I opted to bolt it to the deck. Worked out perfectly!

Great looking patio umbrella. This is my first cantilever style and thought it included everything needed. A base is required ( not included)to stabilize it. The listing should state that.

Pros: Tall Good coverage Tilts Semi rotates if you loosed two set screws on the main riser pole Low cost Cons: Not stable in slight wind: The top joint where the umbrella hangs from is not rigid. Wind will catch sail and rotate the umbrella around this top joint and if pushed too far will rip the plastic joint. Construction is cheap (joint are soft plastic, metal tubing is thin, canopy is thin) I would not buy again and would recommend to spend slightly more for better quality.

It is very hard to open. It opens partially and then sticks. There were no directions that came with it. Also insert in box stated a base for it should be purchased, but no base for it is available online.

I guess it's true you get what you pay for. My issues are. The umbrella doesn't close when you wind it, it just drops to the ground. So you have to manually close it and then reel in the extra line. There is no strap to connect it to the arm when its up nor is there one to wrap around it when its closed allowing it to blow around. All in all its a cheap umbrella that is really not worth the hassle for the few bucks you save over a better one.

Great style. However, the metal base is cheap, thin, very light metal. It won't stand up on its own. Mine fell over and bent the base as soon as I got it up. That's how cheap and worthless the metal is. The holes in the base are too small for standard spikes. The thin nails that will fit are not enough to secure it.. But who wants it nailed down? The whole point was that it's moveable. I've ordered a sand bag to sit around the base but I strongly doubt that will be enough. It's improperly balanced. The top part would be fine if it had a decent base.

Love the umbrella but the style of the arm is not efficient to holding the umbrella up . The winding arm is difficult to move for opening and closing , The cup on the slide to hold in place is made of cheap plastic when warm tends to weaken . This style of operation should be improved to a simpler and more sturdier arm one that slides up and down the main support . I had one before this and was much nicer to operate and was made better . I would not recomemend this type of arm model if need to be used a lot .

The umbrella did not hold up to a windy day. It was not a strong wind but it blew the umbrella inside out breaking the support spokes. Now all I have left is trash that cannot be salvaged.
