purchased these due to osteoporosis diagnosis. need to eat more dairy. they have worked great for me. sometimes i have had to take two. just remember to take the pill or pills justas you start eatting dairy. am able to get more calcium thanks to these pills. would recommend anyone trying them. have had no side effects at all
The only thing that helps me be able to eat and drink milk products , timing works super fast , individually wrapped, perfect formula, helps digest, and the texture is smooth
Very easy to digest. Worked very fast. The tablets were easy to swallow, but did have a chalky taste unfortunately. I would not recommend this to people who are sensitive to chalky tasting pills, however I have no complaints myself.
I've been using Lactaid Fast Act Caplets for a while now and they work quickly to help prevent bloating and discomfort when I eat dairy. I like that they're easy to take and don't have a weird taste. The caplets are a little on the larger side, but they're still manageable. Overall, they're reliable and do what they promise, especially when taken right before meals. I keep them with me when eating out and they've made enjoying dairy much easier.
I just started using these about a month ago. I've been lactose intolerant for all of my life and have generally been able to eat whatever I want, but I would have DAILY bloating and sometimes indigestion! This past summer, my lactose intolerance all of a sudden got worse and I had absolutely horrible stomach cramps and severe vomiting! All from a piece of cheesecake and flatbread with goat cheese! The same issue occurred last month, forcing me to go the ER to make sure nothing was really wrong. I brought these after the doctor gave me a "clean bill of health". I take them every time I consume any dairy at all, even if it's just a side of ranch. If it's ice cream, mac & cheese, pizza, or anything like that, I take 2. If it's just pasta or milk chocolate, I take 1. They are absolutely amazing! My bloating completely disappeared and my stomach is so flat and comfortable now! You have to take them with food for sure, I can feel bubbles building up if I wait too long to take it after eating.
I have always been lactose intolerant but have always been able to tolerate diary products with minimal symptoms. As I have grown older (I am 54 now), my lactose intolerance has gotten worse: painful cramps, bloating, gassiness, diarrhea/constipation. I started taking Lactaid Fast Act Caplets about a month ago and ALL my symptoms have gone away. What a life saver for me! Now, I carry the caplets with me in my purse and lunch bag at work. Plus I love that the dose is ONE caplet per meal instead of 3 tablets!
After turning 50 I noticed my system was having difficulty with dairy. I made the switch to Lactaid milk which is a great product. I still wanted yogurt for breakfast, I tried the Fast Act and they help, not 100% but enough where I can eat my yogurt without the awful gas pains.
This product used to come in individual packages that made it nice to be able to take a sleeve and put it in my purse or in a backpack and take it with me now they've changed the package to where it comes in a bottle and you would have to bring the entire bottle with you super inconvenient. That's why I wasn't buying the one that originally came in a bottle and I was buying Ian individual packaged ones because of the ease for travel and now they've changed it back to being only in the bottle.
I choose to purchase this here over Amazon because of the $3 cashback, and Walmart didn't release the $3!!
About 7 years ago I learned I was mildly lactose intolerant, so I decided to try Lactaid. My symptoms weren't that bad to begin with, so imagine my surprise when, after taking Lactaid for the first time and eating a small amount of dairy, I experienced horrible nausea and vomiting within 2 hours. I didn't realize the Lactaid had caused it until after I took it twice more and the same thing happened. Within 2 hours, boom — debilitating nausea and eventually vomiting. And I don't throw up when I'm sick. Ever. It's grossly disingenuous not to warn consumers of this potential horrific side effect, especially since it seems to happen to a decent chunk of us. Do better. And no, I will not call your 1-800 number.
