LACTAID Original Caplets 120 ea (Pack of 4)

I have been using the original strength Lactaid for about 5 years and they work for me. I have also found that this 120-count container is cheaper than 2 60-count containers of the Walmart fast-acting version. I found out I didn't need the fast-acting version of this product..

It took me forever to figure out I'm lactose intolerant. I just take three pills 10min. before having any milk product. Works just fine for me. I tried the fast acting ones. More expensive for less pills. And I hate the blister packs they are in. So, these are perfect.

These work amazing for those with lactose intolerance. No discomfort, no taste. Enjoy dairy especially ice cream and pizza with no bloating. As far as frequency, it must be taken with the first bite of any dairy. Lactaid also makes lactose free milk and ice cream, just as good as the "real" stuff. There's not texture, just a pill to swallow.

I've struggled with dairy and stomach issues my entire life. These small, on the go pills make life enjoyable again. I am able to eat all the cheese with none of the discomfortable symptoms. I highly recommend for all my lactose intolerant people. There's no taste to these. Just pop one in and no need to run home after enjoying your favorite cheese dip!

These are good if you follow the instructions on how to take them, but the only downside I had was when I used it, it helped but then later I got a crazzzzy migraine. It happened every time I suppressed the milk with this medicine. Would I do it again? No , is it good while out in a hurry somewhere ? Yesss just keep some excedrine on you.

I bought this for my daughter who has IBS and cannot tolerate dairy products. It didn't work as well as we had hoped, and then we noticed that it contains an artificial sweetner. Many people with food intolerances also cannot tolerate sugar alcohols, so it's strange that this is an ingredient of a supplement intended to assist with digestion.

I have used Lactaid milk for years with no issue and love the product so I decided to try Lactaid caplets. That was a huge mistake. Within 20 minutes of ingesting the caplet I projectile vomited. I had the worst stomach ever and did not get to enjoy any of the food that I was going to eat. I at first thought that this was a result of a virus so I again tried the caplets a week later with the same result. Within 20 minutes I became violently ill. I will not be trying this product again.

The adding of mannitol to this product causes loose bowels in many people who are allergic to artificial sweetners. Had to stop taking it altogether. The company who makes this product needs to re-evaluate their product. The fast acting product has an additive in it that contains a form of iodine. Again many people are allergic to this. Please re-evaluate the ingredients in your product.

Very disappointing to read the small print and see that the "original strength" caplets have a recommended serving of three tablets. They look EXACTLY the same as the fast acting caplets, but only one third the strength. That seems duplicitous to me - as does anything that requires studying of the small print!!!

I was getting more GI upset after taking Lactaid, then noticed that Mannitol was one of the ingredients. Sugar Alcohols are known to be a huge trigger for those of us with GI issues. Surely this product could be make without it. I'm very disappointed.
