Brings back memories!
This was my sister's favorite movie growing up. We watched it together many times. We also had the soundtrack. Billie Holiday's story is sad, but a good one to watch. Diana Ross was awesome!!

Lady Day is still the Grandest Lady
For Blues lovers, this is a must have item to add to your collection. Lady Sings the Blues is the Billie Holiday story starring the fantastic Dianna Ross, supported by the talents of Billy D. Williams, and the late great Richard Pryor. The music is fantastic, the story is heart breaking and the gowns by the wonderful Bob Mackie are beyond stunning.\, and you can almost smell signature Gardenias in her hair. The DVD in wide screen is spectacular, and the sound is crystal clear; conjuring up images of the world in which she lived. It is a must see for those addicted to the Blues, and in love with the music that gave birth to Gospel music.
