I've tried various plant based natural sugar substitutes (stevia extract, allulose) before I settled on monkfruit. It is the closest resemblance to sugar cane when it comes to taste and texture. Pricey, but worth it. No calories, no tooth decay, no sugar highs

This is it.

I did a deep dive on all of these sweeteners and found that some of them are showing ill effects to one's health now. They've been around for long enough for the data to come in. I trust this sweetener because it is 100% natural not chemically derived. But more than that, it's delicious and taste is close to real sugar as I think anyone can get. The allulose is also harmless. I have diabetes and this never spikes my glucose. It's delicious and it has that grainy of natural sugar. You just need a little more of it than you would normally use so I wouldn't say it's a one-to-one ratio. But it's good stuff.

Perfect Sugar Replacement for Coffee and Baking

Mark March 11, 2026

After trying several sugar alternatives, Lakanto Classic Monk Fruit with Allulose is by far the closest to real sugar. It has a clean sweetness and no bitter or chemical aftertaste, which is the biggest problem I've had with other sweeteners. I mainly use it in coffee, tea, and baking, and it dissolves easily and measures just like regular sugar. My family couldn't even tell the difference in some recipes. I also appreciate that it doesn't spike blood sugar, so it's great for anyone trying to reduce sugar or follow a low-carb lifestyle. Another big plus is the texture—it's not gritty like some other monk fruit blends. It blends smoothly and works well in both hot and cold drinks. If you're looking for a healthier sugar replacement that actually tastes good, this is definitely worth trying. I'll keep buying it.

I use this monk fruit sweetener a lot. It has two ingredients, allulose, and monk fruit. I like that it helps me on my diabetic journey. It does not contain toxic chemical sweetners like aspartame, sucralose, maltodextrine and so many more which can be harmful to the body. This sweetener does not spike my blood glucose. It has a short term slight rise that quickly goes back down. I do use it in small amounts, like adding one teaspoon to my coffee, or herbal teas, but that's only one to three times a day. I have not cooked with it, so I'm not sure about baking with it. When I do try it, I will update the results for me, here. It is a good value for the money, too. Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

I normally don't leave reviews but this honestly made my recipe taste identical to sugar, cooked and held up like sugar , and I had no crazy stomach upset like all the other artificial sweeteners. I will be stocking up ! No one could even tell and came back for seconds. that's a win for me

This product has changed my life!

Leroy December 21, 2025

I've recently lost over 100lbs and a lot of that has to do with the use of both Allulose and monk fruit as a sweetener substitute, and the health benefits of Allulose and this product introduced me to those items. Although other options may be cheaper I often find this brand to be reliable and readily available!

I make cinnamon toast and it turns out great with this. It does have a slightly bitter taste and it's best mixed with stevia and Splenda to make it more like regular sugar when mixed in beverages. on the cinnamon toast for some reason it is not noticable. Thank you for making a product without erythritol, who knows how many people have had heart attacks and stroke/cognitive decline because of it. I read all of the research on it I could find and it's very scary .

monk fruit Plus

BARBARA June 10, 2026

the monk fruit works great and tastes great I don't taste in after the taste my husband does but I don't. I would like it if they didn't use the other sweetener with it or if they could use Stevia with it and keep the price down. it is the best price for the product compared to other ones or pure monk fruit which I can't afford

Works as an Insecticide

Sandra February 4, 2026

Tastes great, and low/no calories, but I don't trust that this product does not contain harmful chemicals. After a barbecue, I left this product outside with the bag open overnight and in the morning, there were MANY tiny dead insects inside the bag -I don't know if the died from consuming the product or from inhaling the air around it, but that many dead bugs is a red flag for me. I understand that just because it kills insects doesn't mean it is harmful to humans, but I personally don't want to put any kind of insecticide in my body -especially when I'm trying to actually get healthier by cutting out sugar. Just my two cents.
