I use this monk fruit sweetener a lot. It has two ingredients, allulose, and monk fruit. I like that it helps me on my diabetic journey. It does not contain toxic chemical sweetners like aspartame, sucralose, maltodextrine and so many more which can be harmful to the body. This sweetener does not spike my blood glucose. It has a short term slight rise that quickly goes back down. I do use it in small amounts, like adding one teaspoon to my coffee, or herbal teas, but that's only one to three times a day. I have not cooked with it, so I'm not sure about baking with it. When I do try it, I will update the results for me, here. It is a good value for the money, too. Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

Measure for measure sugar substitute

Irene March 21, 2026

I have tried most of the sugar substitutes and it is so hard to find one that does not have Erythritol or a bitter aftertaste like Stevia. I was ready to give up and go back to my aspartame even though there can be risks at least it tastes right. In a last ditch effort I gave this more expensive one a try, and I do believe I could get used to it. It is not sweeter than sugar so you would do an exact measure-for-measure replacement. Yes I can taste the difference between this and sugar but it is not an overpowering bad aftertaste like with stevia. 2 spoonfuls in my coffee is the perfect amount.

Great sweetness alternative, smells delicious!

GeorgeG December 2, 2025

Always thought this was the name brand, and I was surprised that it was the best value for the money when it comes to Allulose locally for me. I'm able to use in most of the recipes that call for sweetener, though some the sweetness is just a little low. That is fine if you are looking to get off of being addicted to sweet taste. Dissolves great into my smoothies!

Best substitute for sugar

Mark January 1, 2026

This is the closest to sugar without any bad aftertaste I have ever tried. I can't have Sucralose or any of the other sugar substitute alcohols because they hurt my stomach and cause bloating, and taste like crap with a nasty aftertaste. This tastes nearly identical to sugar without any bad flavor in the mouth and no bloating issues. Mixes easily. It's just very expensive.

Lakanto Sweetener Monk fruit w/allulose

Brenda April 19, 2026

Monk fruit with allulose sweetener does NOT have the same aftertaste, and the sweetness is not as strong as other natural sweeteners like Stevia. It doesn't taste as if it is trying to be a sweetener. I use this for my coffee or tea. I also used it to make chocolate syrup, and it can be used in baking. I wish there were more readily available products that have Monk fruit with allulose instead of having the stevia included. We dont need multiple sweeteners in one product. I am glad i was able to get it in a bigger bag. it was a little les expensive.

wow, tastes like regular sugar with no aftertaste

Robert March 28, 2026

tastes exactly like cane or beet sugar, no weird after taste, measures one for one with regular sugar. .needs to be put in hot liquid first or doesn't dissolve well. gives mouth a slightly coated feel at first. is a natural no calorie sweetener that comes from monk fruit and grapes.

monk fruit Plus

BARBARA June 10, 2026

the monk fruit works great and tastes great I don't taste in after the taste my husband does but I don't. I would like it if they didn't use the other sweetener with it or if they could use Stevia with it and keep the price down. it is the best price for the product compared to other ones or pure monk fruit which I can't afford

My choice for non sugar sweetner

Marsha January 1, 2026

My choice over stevia that affects my bladder and eryritherol that makes my stomach feel strange but it isn't 1:1 sweet enough. I have to use double the amount of teaspoons as sugar and it is expensive. Need to combine with honey ot molasses or regular sugar in baking my low sugar not no sugar mini almond flour muffins that are my favorite sweet treatthat is low sugar and low carb. Cant upload a photo.

Works great.

Abby March 29, 2026

This is a great laxative for me. I made some Iced Tea and used this as the sweetener. Great sweetness, you don't need a lot to get the Sweet Iced Tea flavor at home. After one glass, I was running, if you know what I mean. If you want to reduce your sugar consumption this is a great product. It dissolves in warm water easily. Use sparingly and taste as you go.
