i stumbled across Laoban Veggie Dumplings by chance shopping Walmart online and included them in my home delivery. They were very good 😋 and easy to prepare. i pan fried them in 1 TSP coconut oil then added water to bottom of pan. Just don't MOVE them once in the pan. They didn't stick together. They were perfect and tasty. I've prepared dumplings before, and instructions on bag is spot on. i personally didn't find them any smaller than a restaurant would serve. You get 8 of them, so that's one meal if someone is very hungry, or a snack for two ppl. Sodium content was reasonable, not too high. i checked all the ingredients and label first. i tasted both the mushrooms and cabbage. Meaty veggie filling. i will definitely order these again. My home delivery Walmart store is out of stock right now, hopefully restocked soon. i may try steaming them next time, as anything fried can be a bit messy with splatter from oil n water in pan uncovered at last 4 minutes if cooking. My pics shown are dumplings served on glass plate w a bit of my own low sodium soy sauce on the side. Good value also for the price considering meal was easy peasy.
Excellent ingredients -- just veggies. Skin was tender yet firm. Steamed them over ginger water for about 10 minutes and served them with peanut dipping sauce, shrimp, and steamed bok choi. This made a really easy meal and both my husband and the kids loved it. They are a little pricey but because of the freshness and simple ingredients, worth it. Have already bought another package!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whats not to like! Dumplings are one of my favorite foods and these did not dissapoint! It would be nice if they came with a sauce, cause thats how I like to eat them. The stayed together, were not frozen together in the package and tasted great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These dumplings tasted as good as my husband’s homemade dumplings. I loved that there was a veggie option and they did not disappoint! Maybe a little too much bok Choy for my person preference but they were really good. When i dipped in a little soy sauce it was the perfect meal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I picked up vegetable one and I liked it. No smell of artifical flavor . Vegetable tasted fresh even it is frozen. I think steaming is best for them . I boiled and few of them got open. I will surely recommend this to others. I will soon buy chicken ginger flavor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These dumplings are very delicious. I enjoyed that they had no natural flavors and is all natural. Had a good amount of spice. The only drawback was the pan frying was a little difficult because after adding water to the oil the oil was splashing. Next time I'll try and steam it.
LOVE THE CONVENIENCE - IF I AM FEELING LAZY, I JUST STEAM THESE AND VOILA!!! I HAVE ALWAYS PREPARED THEM FROM SCRATCH - FROM THE DOUGH TO THE FILLING, SO THESE LAOBAN VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS ARE A GREAT DISCOVERY. WISH THERE WERE DOUBLE THE QUANTITY FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flavor, seasoning and amount of filling in these veggie dumplings is perfect. However, the dumpling exterior wrapping was far too rubbery for my taste and difficult to chew. If they can improve the dough, I wouldn't hesitate to re-rate at 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is super cute and great that it is re-sealable. After cooking my dumplings (steamed), however, the filling fell out almost immediately. I will have to try pan frying next time to see if they will hold up better this way. I tried the veggie dumplings and had a lot of flavor! As a pescatarian, I do wish there was a shrimp option or one with more protein. Since these do cost more the double of the brand I currently buy, I would likely not purchase again despite the pretty packaging.
small bag and small tiny portions. not even one meal per bag.
