I am a remote employee that works from home before the epidemic. With Covid, now all my kids and wife are home on the network. I have a fast Gigabit ISP connection, but a basic router was struggling with so many people on the network streaming or video conferencing at the same time. Wifi Connections would drop despite being close to the old router. When I logged in to my router, I counted 35 devices connected as we have large family with several smart devices and security Cameras installed. That's when I did research and discovered this router. This router works great, It has a stronger Wi-Fi signal than my last one and is able to handle running a robust Wi-Fi home camera security system and the many devices connected to it with ease. One difference I noticed is Steam Stream, the ability to stream video games from my gaming PC to another home device. Despite having a Gigabit connection and using Ethernet cord, the quality of the stream was low as my basic old router struggled to support video game stream plus the many other connections at the same time. However with this NetGear router, Video Game Streams comes out crystal clear. During work/school hours, no one is loosing connection anymore and we are able to support video school live streams, work video conference streams, Netflix for the smaller kids, and YouTube for Grandma all at the same time in high quality with no issues.

So far so great! We have multiple electronics online and it can handle all of them easily. The speed is amazing. We haven't had any issues yet and hopefully not. This router solved all our family issues on connecting.. I'd definitely recommend it. We've only had it a week so ask again in 6 months.

Working from home office away from our old router the WiFi connection kept dropping. Did a lot of research and decided to try out the router and glad I did. Connection has been solid. Range is so much better than we had with cable provider modem/router combo. Also got the Netgear modem to go with this router which also brought speed up too.

This router is good. It is fast but its range is not as good as I predicted. It would definitely have been a 5 if the range was farther. It is also big and takes up a lot of room on the shelf.

Delivery was not completed at the correct address, unnecessarily increasing the possibility of theft. Additionally, the was no outer boxing on this intranet switching device constructed of plastic, and most critically, leaving exposed serial number and other security sensitive information-which could lead to hacking into the internet system for which this router was purchased.

Unit works fine once installed. Startup guide is the sound of one hand clapping. Down loaded user manual to my tablet tried to follow instructions, some procedures would refer back to earlier pages causing me to have to scroll back to the referenced page. I finally printed the manual (163 pages). Netgear has a cellphone mentality, do everything from an app on your cell phone. My Cell phone and tablet only get data from a wifi network. My setup was through a Ethernet cable. I would keep getting warnings that my computer was not connected to the wifi.

The speed on this router is great but it does not seem to have been designed for home/office use as a secure and stable router. It does not allow for HTTPS admin access (their recommendation is to disconnect everyone from the network if there is a security concern). The QoS functionality has not been working for a long time and it doesn't seem like they're working very hard at fixing this issue - this is the only way to rate limit any connected device.

Will not connect to internet via computer. Tried everything that was acquired online and will not connect via computer

great router but Walmart is selling renewed and repaired items, watch what your buying! my router was renewed but it said nothing about it in the description. there were no direction but it had a big sticker that said renewed on it. while setting it up i found out that they really didn't renew it completely. i was locked out of the main set up because of someone elses security passwords and log on's. resetting worked and i'm using it now and works great. happy with product dishappy with Walmarts advertising of products.
