I have 11 silkies and they all fit nicely. it keeps them closer do they stay warmer. The assembly was super easy and having the locks on every access point is wonderful. The price is too high in my opinion, after all this is no more than a glorified little tykes chicken coop. I did a lot of research and have had chickens for almost 9 years. The less wood you have, the less mites you have which makes happier healthier chickens. The only wood in this is the roosting bars.
The coop is great. Love how if I keep it out of sunlight it will last forever. I read the wooden ones will smell and rot away. Building it was easy, very little time to snap pieces together. And Easy to customize. I think I can fit 12 easy in there. Lots of space.
We are trying a plastic coop for the first time. It took very little time to assemble. intelligently made it seems. We live in Minnesota and thought the double walled plastic would be good for the chickens in winter. easy to heat. easy to clean in the spring. It seems very safe. The price seems high but we were willing to pay it to try something new. This coop would be perfect for beginner backyard chicken parents. 6 chickens is our maximum. Even though this coop says it could house up to 10 chickens, I personally don't like to squeeze them in so we feel it is great space for 6 - 8 chickens. We put this coop inside our run and leave the door open. arrived quick and not damaged. it would be pretty hard to damage this coop.
Easy to put together. Smaller than expected. The door is shaped that only one type of automatic door will open and close which is not available at this time.
snapped together. really easy. I haven't had a chance to have my chickens in it yet because I'm in the midst of moving. it is double walled but I'm not so sure I'd go as far to say it was insulated. I won't know until I get my sensor in there and my chicken's in there and see how warm it actually stays at night. it seems pretty durable. it is in an enclosure so that the sun isn't going to hurt it or do any damage to it. I don't know if it would. the price was a little steep. I have black frizzle chickens and I could easily fit six in there eight if they're going to lay in the center, All in all right now. I'm happy with it. we'll see what it's like when I get my chickens over to the new place
love that it sits on the ground, easy to put together.
Great product East to assemble
It looks great and was very easy to put together. The slide out trays for cleaning do not work as well as I thought they would. My hens seem very comfortable, and I really like the air vents that can be opened and closed.
to small for 5 birds
