Gave as a gift to my 8yo nephew, where I preloaded with batteries, in case he wanted to use at family party. He loved the gift %26 wanted to try it right away. When I purchased this past week (Oct 2023), the price of buying two 2-packs was cheaper than a 4-pack, so that's what I got him. His brothers %26 my kiddo are ages 3.5, 4, 6, 8. All had a *blast*! I like that it uses infrared to make the connection between the guns, so they cannot point lasers at each other's eyes. I like that all sets of this same brand work together, so if in the future they want to have a laser tag party with over 4 kiddos (the amt I gave), they can just pick up more sets. I like that it's less physical (injury prone) than tag, but they're still sprinting around, burning off energy. Such a great gift! (Note: the box info regarding batteries wasn't 100% clear. Each gun needs 3 AAA batteries to function %26 you need a small screwdriver to install them. The guns do have an "off" feature to help conserve battery power.)
Kids loved it, easy for them to figure out and easy to set up teams. Only one part instead of having a vest too so less likely for them to lose a part.
This is a great and fun product! Ours an hours of fun multiple people can play! We took it to Padre Island we played it on the beach at night had a blast!
thanks for providing an excellent service for Christmas shopping. didn't have to worry about the crowd inside. just go online, find what you want and order it. they bring it to the car for you. you can even have it delivered. what a convenience. thanks Walmart.
Bought 4 pairs for 8 kids laser tag (aged 4-9) party indoors. All the guns worked on each other. They LOVED it, fit nicely in even the 4 yr olds little hands. The hit sensors on the front of the gun don't feel too hard or too easy to hit for kids. It doesn't work by points, but a hit system: Get hit 8 times, and you're out. The younger kids didn't pay attention to the rules and just turned their guns off and on to keep playing lol. An important note is that once you're "out" the gun looks like it's off (tho still draining battery) so it might confuse some kids. WARNING: The guns BEEP every ~5 seconds. I imagine this is to make it easier to find ppl who are trying to hide; which is handy when keeping track of kids who tend to vanish. But it can get annoying for people who can't filter out that kind of repetitive noise. I had to moderate the kids for the first 15-30 min, to remind them to reload, help them pick their custom gun light color, or how to restart their gun once they died. but after that, they kept going back to the guns throughout the day and playing without the need of supervision. This essentially served as a less destructive/hazardous game of tag, as the kids were running around but not as fast as they would with tag, and there's no contact-- and not much run-and-gunning, they would all stop to aim and shoot. Great for kids, great for indoors. Definitely recommend!!
was a gift for adults and children to play on Christmas
My son likes the laser guns but they are not easy to understand. Knowing when to reload and when you get hit is confusing for younger players, even for older players.
i thought it had lasers in small print it does not kids were disappointed played with 1
Both guns are missing the battery compartment doors and screws.
Grandchildren didn't care anything about these after they saw there was no laser dot to see. They just light up and make sound but nothing else. Takes 3 AAA batteries and it says for ages 6 and up, which my grandchildren are 6 and 7. It was wasted money for me because they had no interest in them after they didn't do really anything. Good maybe for smaller children.
