I ordered two of these fans the other day! I wanted high velocity fans as they're really great about canceling out outside noise's, as in street noise, traffic, loud talkers and the annoying loud kids and their ragged plastic rides and the annoying battery powered toy cars, three wheelers etc, riding on the side walk in front of my apartment about 12 feet at least from my living room and bedroom windows. I'm very sensitive to sound, can hear things most people don't hear! For me, it's tortuous to have to listen to stuff that shouldn't be going on, and it to be so bad as to not be able to watch my movie's because of the noise's! I use fans to cancel out the noise! I station the fans in front of the windows and doors, that's where the noise comes in. I run the fans on high and to be fair about it, it's not loud enough! Some people who wrote comments on it said, these fans where too loud! I actually own four of these fans and plan to buy one more! Two fans in the living room and kitchen blocks most outside noise's, but it only muffles those who don't follow the law on loud thumping music or in my opinion noise, from these cars and trucks! I've gotten noise reduction drapes, doesn't reduce much noise! Moving is out of the question, limited amount of income prevents that option. I wasn't raised in a noisy environment, we were raised where its quiet, we could hear ourselves think, read a book, work on crafts that sort of thing. It's bad when people have to go to such extremes to calm down, lower the stress levels because management and the world has no respect for other people's right to the peacefulness of their homes and their sanity. Buy these fans if you're stuck in a loud environment, it's worth every dime, plus if you're lazy, the remote is a great thing too! Now you will have to set fan manually to blow where you want it to blow, the remote is only for on, off, and speed!

Ordered this fan online since they didn't stock it at my local store. Arrived in 2 days, faster than promised by date, assembled it in a few minutes, no problems, and it works great, very quiet on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd speed, somewhat louder on 4th speed, (high), but still not obnoxiously so. The remote is a great feature too. I recommend this to anyone wanting a nice looking inexpensive oscillating air mover with remote.

this is a very quiet fan that moves a lot of air....the remote control was the deciding factor for me...the few extra dollars was soooo worth it for the convenience...five blades are way better than three for creating the circulation I was looking for, and the color makes it blend into the room more....love it !!!!

I just got this fan yesterday and am loving it - bought it for use in our bedroom at night. The fan has power and speed controls on the front as well as via the remote control. I am visually impaired and the remote is great in that it has 2 big buttons, power and speed, and easy to use even in the dark. This fan has four speeds. Personally, the 1st speed (lowest) generates a really nice breeze - so I can only imagine how good the 3rd and 4th speeds will be on a hot day. The fan is fully adjustable - you can raise and lower the fan on the pole as well as tilting the fan upwards to straight ahead. The front grill is metal and the rest of the fan is plastic. Very easy to assemble - takes just a few minutes. Also makes it lightweight enough to carry from room to room as needed. Remote takes 2 AAA batteries - not included.

THIS PRODUCT IS DEFINITELY A 5 STAR IN MY BOOK !!!!!!!! I'M GOING TO REALLY BE ABLE TO ENJOY MY SPACE THIS SUMMER BECAUSE OF THIS FAN, THANK YOU LASKO !!!!!!!!

I ordered two of these fans and they are quite powerful. Very easy to assemble. My only complaint is the top of the fan just sits on the stem and if you pick the fan up by the upper portion, it will come off. You must carry from the lower portion of the stem. There should be a way to secure the upper portion.

The fan itself is really good. Blows plenty of air on all 4 settings, however the stand is terrible! The assembly of this fan is ridiculously easy as there really isn't much to it. I would also say this is a one room fan as you don' want to pick it up and try to move it as it will come apart. The fan stand from the motor to the on/off switch is plastic and it sits on the steel pole only about 3 inches. The plastic nut that tightens and loosens to adjust the height is not suitable to hold the weight of the fan so the fan slips back down, which is probably good as it's liable to fall over with it only sitting on the pole so shallow (you would think it would sit on it farther down to be more stable). The plastic is very cheap and could break with the slightest ease. The fan is heavy enough that it leans forward slightly. When you turn the fan on the 4th/highest setting, it's so powerful it blows the fan backwards to actually stand straight. I would NOT recommend this fan for households with pets or small children as the smallest bump could easily tip the fan over onto them. I do have pets in my house so I keep it at it's lowest height. We live too far away from walmart to make a trip to return it. My husband can make a better stand for it. The fan blades themselves are plastic. The back grill of the fan is plastic and the front grill is metal. The remote is a nice addition but in order to use it, you really need to point it directly at the fan. The oscillation feature is not controlled by the remote, it's just like any other oscillating fan where it has the button on motor that you pull up or push down. Overall, the fan itself is great, it has loads of power. It's not the quietest fan but it's fine for me as I cannot stand dead quiet. Lasko dropped the quality standards on this one with the crummy stand. It has potential to be a five star fan if they would fix the stand to be sturdy.

I wouldn't recommend going through ordering online with Walmart. Instead of giving me a fan that was sealed and in good shape, I was given a fan that I discovered must have been returned because when I opened up the box you could tell that things had been re-wrapped inside. For whatever reason that the person returned the fan, the associates should have checked to make sure everything was in the box. After getting it home and going through things, I discovered that a large rubber washer had not been put back into the box. I was able to get the fan working using something I had at home. BUT I'm finding that I am better off just going to the store and finding the item on the shelf. I went back a day or two later and found they had at least 4 of the same fan on the shelf and upon inspecting them found none of them looked like they had ever been open. After having a previous bad experience with something that was delivered to my home, I will not be using Walmart ordering online anymore.

The fan worked well for about 5-10 minutes, but would then start making a clicking sound. We tried three different times, and it happened each time. Also the knob that you needed to pull to make the fan stop ossilating came off, but we would have kept it irregardless until we also heard the clicking. We returned the fan.

Top part of fan with controls sits on top of a metal pole, Top is to heavy which causes fan to fall forward due to weight. After a few tries if trying to make it not lean forward, plastic that fits onto pole cracks and will never attach again. BROKEN-never got to use it Returned it ASAP!
