Lasko Cyclone 18" 3-Speed Adjustable Large Room Pedestal Fan, Gray, S18900

If you want a hurricane in your room, this is the one!! Plus it stirs the air in the ENTIRE room, too! Reminds me of the fans of my childhood that would blow the covers off the bed if they weren't tucked in! No weak stream of air from this one!!

Ordered the fan on Tues (97cent shipping) and it arrived on Thursday. I couldn't plan a trip to Walmart that quick due to work and I would have paid more than the shipping on gas to get there. About the fan.....I've had Lasko fans in the past. The last one I bought was a 16 inch with the wide blades, but air flow was not the best. I decided to upgrade to this 18 inch with the narrower "cyclone" blades and I couldn't believe the difference. On the 16 inch, I always had to have it on a NOISEY high but still could not feel the air like I now feel with the 18 inch cyclone on low. Big difference in getting the cyclone blades for a quieter fan with more power. It took minutes, with no tools needed, to put it together which means you don't need tools when you have to take it apart to clean. The front/back fan grills snap together so I would take a little care when you have to take it apart so not to break the "plastic" snaps. They seem sturdy...so far. I would recommend getting this fan over the cheaper 16 inch one. I don't think it's a big price difference but well worth it as living in the south, it saves me from putting on the AC until the humidity "really" kicks in.

This isn't my first Lasko fan. Every summer I visits my daughter in Texas for two months. Last year I ordered two 18 inch cyclone fans, one with a remote and one without. They work wonderful. The price us just right. Upon returning home one of my fans went out after three years. I ordered another one and I'm back cooling off. I uses my fan year round, regardless of the temperature.

We had this same fan before, it was on just about 24/7 and lasted a few years. It was more expensive this time but I think it's a good deal. Works well, not real quiet but not that bad either.

The low setting on this fan was what my old fan was on high. It is very powerful! I sleep with a fan on every night for the white noise effect. No complaints about this fan.

Only problem I've had with this fan is it will not stay extended to it's full heighth. It slides about half way down, no matter how much I tighten it.

Although I like the fan I wish it would have a much lower setting than currently available. Yes, it does have 3 speed settings but for me the lowest is not low enough. Sometimes one would like a little breeze...

I didn't expect this fan to be quite as loud as it is; however, it suits the purpose as the fan is high powered and moves the air around very well.

This fan moves air well but might be a bit noisy for some people. However, because I live near an active train track, it is perfect for my needs and allows me to have a good night sleep.

Item shipped fast, but was missing the pedistal. Contacted Lasko and took a week to respond, finially returned to a Walmart store. So I paid for shipping and got nothing...
