Used this Lasko SlimForce 42” on the back porch at my granddaughter's outdoor birthday party (in July, in Florida). Worked great!! Moved the air nicely!!
I purchased this fan to replace my 10 year old one, that had done all it could, same brand, lasko is the only brand I look for, I have other lasko products all very reliable, I'm very happy with this fan..
Everything works properly. I was expecting it to be a lot quieter. On the lowest setting it is pretty silver but it gets a bit louder as the setting goes up.
A wonderful fan. It was easy to assemble and slim enough that even at the base, it doesn't take up a lot of space. The 4 level controls of the amount of cooling air is perfect. The fan is very quiet at levels 1 and 2 with level 2 being perfect for me. Perfect for a bedroom or den. I will be purchasing another Lasko Slimforce fan for another room.
These Lasko Upright Fans are great. I just replaced (1) that was over 14 yrs old (still worked but wasn't oscillating as well anymore, didn't know how to fix it either), the other one still works well (also over 14 yrs old) %26 use in one BR. I purchased 2 new ones, few months ago (2024), still same great quality, works great %26 best part: they're slim %26 take up so little space, easy to move around to put in any room --light weighted. Yes would recommend anyone considering buying tower fans, to buy these.
Just put it together. Very easy! No screws! However, when I plugged it in, it made soooo much noise, I thought I was going to have to return it!! Took a bit, is now quiet at any speed. 🤞🏽Giving it a try, Lasko is my brand. Was really surprised
This particular Lasko fan gets only 3 1/2to 4 stars from me because of its stand/mount. It's an overall good fan that oscillates quietly and the fan isn't necessarily too loud at night when sleeping. The only issue I have is when you need to move it, the base comes off and can be a little frustrating placing it back on.
Not up to Lasko standards as far as I'm concerned. It is slim. It has 4 speeds but the first 2 are very weak. If you want to feel any actual cooling force you have to put it on at least the 3rd speed. Depending on how far you are from it you may need the 4th speed. I have other older tower fans from Lasko which are so much better. That is why I tried it. Too much of a pain to return it. Also tried it for the price. Was pretty much cheaper then all the rest. Why are all fans so expensive now? My older ones were between $35-$45. Now for the same thing they want $75-$85. Absolutely ridiculous.
Since it is 4 speed I thought it would be good But speed %231 is like off, 2 is almost nothing the only one that gives a little strong air is %233%234 But it is not as good as I expected It also smells like burning when it's on for more than 20 minutes and that gives me a headache.
While this unit is tall and slim as stated in product description it is not as powerful as described. On speeds 1 and 2 it barely blows, 3 is about the speed of 1 on a normal fan and 4 is the equivalent of 3 on a normal fan.
