Lasko Space-Saving High Velocity Blower (HVB) Fan with Remote Control

I would highly recommend this fan, as the force of the air on low is great. I get a lot of good feed back from visitors on the volume of air that it puts out. don't waste money on anything else this fan is totally worth it. loved it so much bought two more.

I purchased this fan to replace the Lasko Pro HV. Although it still worked after several years or more, it had become a little too loud. So, I first purchased another tower fan to replace it, but it hardly moved any air. After searching for a High Velocity fan, I settled on the Lasko 4930. I am very pleased with the fan. It moves far more air set on low than the other tower fan set on high. If you are searching for air movement, this is a great fan for you. It is a little louder than some of the other fans, but nothing more than I would expect. I use it in a patio area and find it nice to have a remote. I have not used the timer, but it is a nice option to have. The value is yet to be determined. All fans seem to be a little pricey these days, but as long as it holds up for a couple of years I will be exceptionally happy with it.

Live in a stuffy one bedroom that has poor room to room circulation, no insulation and cool air escapes faster than I can pump it in from an inefficient air conditioner. Read the reviews, liked the techy looking, narrow silver/gray design, and needed a fan. I'm super impressed and, like many of the customers whose reviews I read, I can't wait to get another as I want one everywhere now. It's not super loud considering it is an air blower (but, then again, I kinda like the loud white noise as it helps to alleviate noisy neighbors)!

This is a great tower type fan that in my opinion is superior to some on the other tower type fans. I had purchased one of the other type fans that had a tall squirrel cage fans set on top of a motor that powered the fan and inserted into a tall case with a narrow base. The old fan lasted one season after which the motor burned out. The Lasko High Velocity Fan has the blower in the base which lowers the center of gravity and is much less likely to be tipped over accidentally. As for the fan itself it works great and the low speed setting is all I need to direct cool air into my computer "den" where there is no air conditioning. I give it a five star rating. If you need a high velocity fan for a large room it will do the job and you might even need the High and Medium speed. The few extra dollars for this fan is well worth it because you have a sturdier and more durable product that can push small amounts of air up to a heavy breeze.

Best tower fan hands down! Had the previous model looks almost identical 4 yrs old no issues runs every night for 6-8 hrs. When I found they still make it I purchased 2 new!

Had one of these for 10 years and gave it away when I moved across country. Glad to have a new one! Really moves some air. Little noisy on high but I don't have to be next to it to feel the benefits. Good fan.

This fan is more like an air conditioner. It cools a large room easily. It's a little loud on high speed but we like that especially when sleeping. We are buying another one. Love it.

I had previously bought a $200 fan and was not satisfied with it's ability to cool down my room. Then while visiting a gas station, the owner had one of these Lasko HVB's set up in his store and was so impressed with how well it was cooling down the store that I made a mental note of it to look this product up as soon as I got home. Thankfully, I didn't forget! I was surprised with how affordable this fan was compared to the one I had just bought so I returned that one to the store I had bought it from and ordered this instead. It honestly cools down my room so well that I have to turn it off because it gets too cold! And that's just on it's lowest setting. I really have no use turning it all the way up to it's 3rd setting because it's much too powerful. It's a bit louder than the fan I had before but it's something i've gotten used to and really isnt too bothersome. I'd definitely recommend it it. Whether your looking to put this in a larger family room or a smaller bedroom, it'll circulate the air nicely and cool it down just the same.

This is the best fan I've ever owned. It's powerful and has amazing engineering as the intake is at ground level so it draws in cooler air from the floor and blows it out. The three speeds are all excellent. High is pretty loud, but nothing ridiculous or annoying. It's just a really good product. It seems very solid and sturdy. The remote is a little chinzy but it still does the job. I hope this fan lasts a good long time. I've only had it for about a week so that's the only reason I gave four stars rather than five. If you are looking for a fan to cool you down or work hand in hand w/your a/c, try this fan. I cant imagine anyone being disappointed with it.

PROS: 1)THE DESIGN IS EYE CATCHING. 2)THE WAY THE FAN WAS THE DESIGN TO FUNCTION VERTICALLY ALLOWS YOU TO GET GOOD AMOUNT OF AIR AND ALLOWS YOU TO USE VERY LITTLE SPACE. 3)IT WAS A BIT PRICY BUT WORTH IT I WOULD HAVE LOVED FOR IT TO COST ME 60 RATHER THAN 75 DOLLARS. 4)THE SHIPPING WAS GREAT IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO GET TO MY HOME AND ALL THREE (ORDERED 3) GOT TO MY HOME SAFE AND INTACT. THANKS FEDEX AND WAL-MART GREAT JOB. 5)THE REMOTE IS A PLUS, AND YOU CAN HANG IT UP IN THE BACK FROM THE HOOK. CONS: 1)THE FAN DOES NOT BLOW AIR DOWN AT ALL ITS EITHER UP OR STRAIGHT AHEAD. 2)IT COULD HAVE A LITTLE MORE AIR POWER FOR THE PRICE. (EVEN THOUGH I SAID IT DOES SUPPLY GOOD AIR) 3)IF YOU WANT COLD, GET A WATER COOLER, BUT IF YOURE LOOKING JUST TO COOL DOWN THIS IS FINE. SIDE NOTE: TAKE CARE OF THE BOX AND STYROFOAM SO YOU CAN EASILY PUT IT AWAY FOR STORAGE.
