Inexpensive item.. so HANDY .. great that it ADJUSTS to size of your pan.. Wish I had found this product years ago. I bought some also for gifts !!

Adjustable pie crust protectors
I love the design of these crust protectors, and I love that they're silicone. What I like best about these is the adjustability, if you have a pie plate the isn't round, maybe heart shaped it will adjust to fit. Highly recommend

Too cumbersome for use
This product is very cumbersome to keep on. It has to be positioned perfectly to stay put. It moves around easily and it did not lay flat on the crust. It was not very effective and I will not use it again.

How do these things work, exactly?
I confess I got these for large pot pies I make regularly, but they are not for that. If you make large or very large pies, you should be fine, hopefully, because I'm still not sure that lil' hook is going to keep the whole thing from sliding off the pie.
