The LAUNCH X431 CRP123i V2.0 OBD scanner is well made and easy to use. I got it to read the real time transmission fluid temp on a 2010 Tacoma so I could do a drain and refill and it works perfectly for that purpose (there are actually 2 ATF temps displayed). The scanner has more features than I'll ever use a DIYer, but it's better to have them and not need them than the other way around. So far, I couldn't be happier with this purchase, especially since I got it for about $158 (all in) on the WalMart web site. Note...this scanner was advertised as version "2.0" but I actually received the "3.0" version.

I am impressed with this OBD2 scanner, especially for the price. It support for ABS, SRS, and Transmission codes are icing on the cake. I like how many vehicles the CRP123i V2.0 supported. It is very helpful easy to use and provides all the information that you need to see to get right to fixing the problem.
This is a good tool for reading engine codes, resetting (brakes, TPM), taking pictures and sending them out, looking up previously read codes. Yet, I have not found a vehicle that this will read a transmission code; though it advertises it will.
This is a good tool for the price as it was on a great sale when I got it. I did end up returning this tool even though I bought the $40 subscription from the manufacture company none refundable and this is an item you MUST get the subscription. I bought a higher grade more expensive professional tool that will require no regular subscription but cost more, but this tool with subscription is about equivalent. The disappointment to this tool is when you transmitted a scan report to a customers email so to say, this tool lacked in presentation of you shop or business information as well as had a disclaimer that it's an unprofessional scan that would make you look bad if you use this feature to customers.
This scanner works very well. It is easy to use, and the instructions are clear. I tested it on my car and it read the codes quickly. The screen is bright and the functions are helpful. I am satisfied with this product and recommend it.
