The Launch x431 Pro5 with Smartlink HD is the most efficient scan tool on the market for virtually all makes of cars and HD trucks. Not for amateurs. This is a professional scan tool. Price was $300 dollars cheaper here with a free 529 code reader by Launch. Would recommend this purchase for anyone that wants to fix, reprogram or just about anything else to your vehicle at dealer level access. Thumbs up from me. Thanks Walmart and Launch.

So far so good. The battery depletes faster than expected. It would be nice if functionality and all modules could be upgraded, specifically the oscilloscope.

This car scanner is incredible and comes with various adaptors for different makes and models. Not to mention the customer service is top notch as well. As a mechanic for over 20 years, I always needed a professional scanner for the cars and trucks I worked on. This Launch scanner works well on Honda, Ford, and Mercedes. You name it. I had a minor issue hooking it up on a truck I was working on the first time I used the scanner, but the technical support got it all sorted out in no time. I was pleased with the experience and this product.

It's probably one of the best scanners I have ever used; the online database provides me with lots of repair cases for easier repair. The auto VIN technology is also beneficial, which gives me the chance to know whether or not the new car is damaged. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. This is your best choice if you're looking for a quick auto scanner.

This scanner is worth buying if you are in the automotive industry. For the money, it is probably the best one in the field. It rivals original factory scanners. It has almost the same functions and features as factory ones, costing 5~8 times more. I was happy to bring it to the garage and excited to find that I was able to diagnose some areas of the car that my old scanners couldn’t access. The best part is, I don’t have to pay extra money to add some European model software: they are already there in the unit! Anyway, there was undoubtedly a learning curve, and it took me a little while to figure out because some menus and service functions were confusing. And for DIY users, this is a little overkill. But for full-blown professional shops, this is an excellent repair tool. You’ll get what you pay for.

The car scanner is incredible and comes with fast and efficient customer service. As a mechanic for more than 30 years, I always need a professional scanner for cars, pickups, trailers, and trucks. This launch scanner works very well on Honda Civic, Ford Explorer, and MB. But when I hooked it up to the very first truck, it seemed to have hit a problem. Fortunately, the technical support provided adequate customer service to resolve the issue promptly. Meantime, it reminded me that there was an extra charge for this on the details page. I came back to reread the page. Alright, I overlooked this. Then, I paid for the software card to activate it and got the suitable non-16-pin connector. Well, everything comes back to normal.

This product worked as advertised. I plugged it into the car at once and got the code soon. One advantage of this scan tool was that I could update my tool easily via Wi-Fi. It also allowed me to share diagnostic reports with the technicians. They would make a complete analysis and give me the best solutions. This is an excellent product for the money.

I love this .and I especially love being able to reset the Oil indicator light. This tool is a lifesaver. Buy this tool if you own a BMW and want to save lots of money. There are so many free how-to videos out there, and even a non-mechanic type can do car repairs; all you need is this tool to tell you what's wrong and the internet to tell/show you how to fix it!
