This tool is tremendous. With the factory diagnostics, it offers features I knew were possible. So far, I have completed a relearn on a 68RFE transmission in a Dodge Ram, along with key programming. I have an 98 Honda accord that had been giving me serveral issues. After toubleshooting using several references from youtube, I had discover that my problem was a faulted ECU. Sure enough I pulled the unit out. Found that the ECU had water damage. Opened the ECU, both circuit boards showd water damage. I got another ECU from a junk yard. They informed me that the ECU had to be programmed along with the keys to match the car in order for it to work. They suggested using Launch diagnostic tool. I started the car let it warm up. Checked the cars live data. I was real pleased that I had bought the x431. It has many car selections and many tests you can do. Since its bi-diredtional you can activate some systems by selecting them. There are many tests you can do with it. Glad I bought it.

This diagnostic tablet is a little expensive but worth it in the long run as its features give me chances to test the status of every actuator on my clients’ autos. This is an excellent tool with a lot of features! More than I need as a weekend DIY mechanic. Nicely built and packaged and appears to be very high quality. Bidirectional features work tremendously, and we have already used them to actuate fans when diagnosing an overheating problem and another fuel pump problem. Graphing fuel trims have been challenging because I need help finding a way to change the scale on the graphs, so the detail is hard to see.
