Laura Mercier Eye Colour - Sandstone (Sateen) 2.6g/0.09oz

For warm weather, I was looking for a smoothing, red removing shadow that doesn't make me look dead. This has been perfect. Truly satiny, it's not flat and matte or shiny. I use it everyday under color and on its own.

It is a neutral to cool champagne so it doesn't change the color of my crease shadow like a warm champagne would . And being fair, cool skinned it works well with my skin tone. It's not too shimmery and wears all day. I hope they never discontinue this. There is nothing else out there like it.

The sateen eye colors are the perfect combination of slight shimmer/not too over-the-top pigment/smooth blendability. When I wrote a "wishlist" of the colors I wanted in my collection, I found myself wanting almost all of them! ***Tip: I have extremely deep-set eyes. When I was at a LM National Artist event at my local dept store, one of the artists showed me a great tip. She put one color ("Lilac") all over my lid, then she put a LIGHTER color (it was either "Buttercream" - matte or "Sandstone" - sateen) in my crease. As a result, my eyes looked brighter and not nearly as deep set!

I am a Makeup artist and have been using the Sandstone eyeshadow personally for at least 10 years as my lower lid color and I find it so beautiful as a very natural brightening color for bridal Makeup too.I also apply it (Sandstone) or Guava on the brow bone just below the eyebrows.Love it

I have used GUAVA Sateen shadow for many years as a diffuser after all my neutral shadows are applied. Just grab a big fluffy shadow brush and whisk it over the lids to blend and soften edges for a flawless eye look.' Maybe I shouldn't tell you this because next time I go to order it, It will be Out of Stock! LOL

there are really pretty colors, but honestly, for each eye "look", you need at least 2-3 shadows, which adds up quickly. i do like how sheer the shadows are, so they just give a little bit of color, but if you want something a little heavier, you're going to be layering it on for a while.
