I have been looking for a few months for a lava lamp for my six yr old who has been asking for some time now. All the others were far to big and bulky. I love the size of this one because it fits perfectly on his book shelf.

Relaxing Enjoyment and Entertainment
Hours of enjoyment. The children who have never seen one, like watching the globules float up and down. The cats get mesmerized by it. Prompted many friends, family and neighbors to purchase one, too!

Takes me back
I'm an old hippy and this takes me back to my youth. To a time of peace and love. This lamp is just what I have been looking for great buy recommend to all my hippy friends.

Very nice color combination
The lava lamp works great, nice slow moving wax flow. The wax looks like little planets rising up from the sun.

Good for the price.. but easily broken bulb!
It's a cool lava lamp, but definitely gets super hot! Opened the box prior to Christmas and it worked fine.. Then when my son opened it on Christmas, the filament in the bulb was broken - had to buy a new bulb! Working fine now, good for the price.

Good price, mediocre quality
I bought this for my 7 year-old son. He loves it, but it's definitely not high quality. There are A LOT of air bubbles in the wax. No matter what I do, they don't come out, and they get worse the longer the lamp is on. After a while, it's just this big bubbly mess and the wax doesn't flow anymore.

As soon as you plug it in the bulb went out
You purchase the item and expect it to work when you plug it in. The bulb blows out as sson as i plugged it in and then it difficult to find a replacement bulb. When you do find one it cost you another $5. Takes way to long to warm up. Save your money and don't buy this item.

What happened?
I have a 15 year old Lava lamp that was purchased at Walmart that is still working VERY well. Yet the new lamps just don't seem to be up to par. I have gone through 4 of these newer lamps. Two blue and 2 rainbow versions. In less than a month they have all decided they would rather have the wax sit at the bottom of the glass, instead of flowing like my older lamp. Don't waste your money unless you just want a colorful glowing lamp.

Doesn't work properly.
The lamp does not move and bubble the inner materials the way a lava lamp is supposed to. It lights up and that's it.
