This game started in 1800 but pins were not in a v they were scattered over the yard and balls are not round they are pitted so without is going toward the pin and sits a pit in the wooden ball it will go the to the side of the pin. All made of wood.
I have to say when I opened the package I was so excited to see what it was. It reminded me of early pictures in the 1800s of first bowling pins and balls. My son is 5 years old, oldest nephew is 3 years old and the youngest is two. They had a blast! It gave them a lot of outdoor time and kept them entertained all evening so immediately after dinner we are now outside bowling. Absolutely love this product! Something so simple but so much fun for the whole family. Definitely buying as presents for family members.
My family got the pleasure of trying out this lawn bowling game for kids and adults. We it actually came right on time for my daughter‘s eighth birthday party and we used it as one of her party games and they actually got to win prizes for it and everything. It turned out to be super fun the girls all loved it they each took two rounds we set up a confetti sheet in the hallway and had them stand behind that while they bowled at the end of the hallway towards the fence. We shut our bedroom door so that they could use those to bounce the balls off of and it worked out perfectly my only thing is that I would not call this a long game because I don't think these would actually stand up straight since they need something sturdy to balance on, but other than that this was a blast and they loved it!
This is such a fun and entertaining game for the little ones and the older ones! THere are so many ways to play with these besides just the traditional bowling game. It keeps the toddler entertained for quite a bit and gives them the ability to use their imagination and play with it in multiple ways. Helps with counting, balancing objects, throwing, hand eye coordination, spatial recognition, and much more. The only thing I didn't like was the strong chemical smell when the toy was first opened. It slowly went away though
Bowling was fun and great for the kids. My 6 year old and 3 year old loved rolling the ball and knocking the pin. However, it was hard for for ball to roll on the grass. We played on concrete/paved ground and it was much better. Solid wood, durable, however, few imperfect but solid wood.
This is fun if you have a yard. Then once you have that yard the weather must be permitting. Once all that is settled though it really does tickle the little ones. Especially right now since everything is closed. They now want to go outside and "go bowling" all the time haha.
My kids love this set!! They have been playing it for a few days and really enjoy it. I love the fact that they can play with inside or outside since the weather here is very unpredictable. I would definitely recommend this to other parents for their children.
My 4-yr old & I played with these the 2nd they arrived. He was really excited to knock them over, once he got the hang of rolling the ball. The instructions seemed unnecessary. We tried this indoors because we had bad weather, but I tested them in the grass myself. They won't stay up, so you'll have to use them on concrete or a flatter surface. One downside is that I could see my boys whacking each other in the head with them. I do like that they're made out of wood instead of a cheap piece of plastic that gets a dint in it right away. This set would be better for kids who are a little bit older rather than for little kids, unless you have only one small child and can supervise.I like that they came in a bag so that I can take them with me when we go camping. This would be a fun activity at a school game night or for a bunch of bored college kids. It'd be a good idea to add a little score pad and pencil or some other kind of way to keep score.
My kids loved the lawn bowling game! The only issue we had is that our yard isn't exactly level but our driveway worked out great for it. My kids had so much fun with it, they keep asking to play it every day. I definitely recommend this game to all parents with kids that enjoy bowling as much as we do.
Overall the kids had a lot of fun with this bowling set. Although the pins seem sturdy we had some issues getting them to stay up. The balls seem to be a little smaller than they should be also. None of this really mattered to the kids though. They were just happy to be able to get outside to play.
