i put this in my turkey ground when making spaghetti. it really wakes up the lean meat and makes the seasoning hold to the sausage as well
This was an awesome little packet of seasoning for your spaghetti. It made the taste of my spaghetti more bold and better tasting. It only takes one packet for a good size thing of spaghetti. It gave it more flavoring and made it taste more Italian. I love this packet.
Lawry's Extra Rich & Thick Spaghetti Mix delivers exactly what its name promises — a bold, hearty spaghetti sauce with rich texture and deep Italian-inspired flavor. The blend of garlic, basil, herbs, spices, and Romano cheese creates a savory, well-balanced taste that instantly upgrades ordinary tomato sauce into something that feels slow-cooked and homemade. One of the biggest strengths of this mix is convenience. Whether you're making a quick weeknight spaghetti dinner or adding depth to a homemade Bolognese, a single packet adds noticeable richness without requiring a cabinet full of seasonings. The sauce mix also stands out for producing a thicker, heartier consistency compared to using plain tomato paste or canned sauce alone. It creates a comforting, robust flavor profile that tastes surprisingly homemade for a pantry staple. For anyone looking for an easy way to create flavorful spaghetti sauce with minimal effort, Lawry's Extra Rich & Thick Spaghetti Mix remains a dependable and highly satisfying choice.
A product designed to make life easier—easy to use and well-crafted, with mild yet delicious flavors. I had never used it before, but it has become my favorite; give it a try and you'll see just how divine it tastes.
I recently tried LAWRY'S Extra Rich & Thick Spaghetti Mix and it completely exceeded my expectations. This little 1.42 oz packet turns a simple pasta night into something special with almost zero effort. The flavor is outstanding — rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned with a nice depth that tastes like it simmered all day. It has that classic Italian-herb profile with a subtle sweetness and just the right touch of spice. What really stands out is how thick and hearty the sauce becomes. It clings beautifully to the noodles instead of pooling at the bottom of the plate, which is exactly what I want in a spaghetti sauce. I browned some ground beef, added the mix with tomato sauce and a little water, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. My family couldn't stop raving about it. Even my picky kids went back for seconds! It's so convenient for busy weeknights but tastes gourmet enough for weekends or when guests come over. If you're looking for an easy way to elevate your spaghetti game without spending hours in the kitchen or buying expensive jarred sauces, this is it. LAWRY'S nailed it with this one. I'll definitely be keeping this in my pantry from now on!
Lawry's sent me this free sample of their Extra Rich & Thick Spaghetti Mix through the BuzzAgent sampling program. I usually use a jar spaghetti sauce because it is convenient, but Lawry's spaghetti sauce mix was tasty with just the added tomato paste, oil, and water. I ate this with some mushroom ravioli and felt like I was eating a fresher sauce than what comes out of a jar. If I were to make this again, I might add extra spices and some fresh vegetables to give it a bit more flavor.
This easy to use in a pinch with a ton of flavor. However, there should be a clear warning that this product is not suitable for vegetarians as one of the ingredients is lard. So if you have a large dinner party, some people may not be able to add this sauce to their food. Beyond this issue, there is robust seasoning and not too much salt.
1st time trying a sauce mix. I never knew about the packs as I always get the jar kind. Budget friendly and it's easy to make but to me it came out a little sweet. No one else noticed the difference and there was no left overs. I would still try it again.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I had high hopes for this product because I am a fan of Lawry's seasoning products. I mixed all ingredients and began cooking. The aroma was enticing, and the thickness of the sauce when finished was decent. I felt it was a little thinner than I prefer, but it wasn't too thin. I added it to my noodles, excited to take my first taste. The flavor was not quite what I had anticipated, and I felt a little disappointed. It was just ok. I didn't experience the bold mix of flavors that I had hoped for. Personally, I found it to be a bit bland. There was also a slight taste, or aftertaste, that I didn't like. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it was there. This product did not live up to my expectations, but it wasn't terrible. I don't see myself purchasing it in the future, though.
Lawry's Extra Rich and Thick Spaghetti sauce mix is okay but not like homemade. If you are looking for a quick and easy solution for those in a rush or to take camping because it weighs nothing compared to cans of sauce.
