This is always a great product! I did not give it a 5 star review because I had a package from two weeks before and a package that just arrived! I could immediately see the new bag I had, gotten wasn't much bigger than the size of individual chips!! I took photo of one bag laying on top the other and the difference noticeable!
These are perfectly crispy and so full of sour cream and onion flavor that you can skip the dip. I absolutely love the design of their updated packaging too. They fit any occasion from daily lunches to late night snacks. A must have in my pantry and if this flavor isn't your cup of tea I'd recommend any of Lay's delicious assortment of flavors!
These are my favorite potato chips by far. My only complaint is that towards getting to the bottom of the bag, there are a lot of tiny pieces. Other than that, Lay's potato chips are truly the best!
Very tasty and crunchy. One chip and you're hooked. I added salsa and bam !! This was very good. I added salsa this time my sandwich plate for lunch . I eat them for snack and it's just very good and delicious. I choose Lays because you just can't beat the flavor , the bag size and the wonderful crunch!!!
need to reduce the salt in that and put less salt and they will taste just as good but all that salt is not good for you and it's not good for me otherwise I buy a lot more bags maybe I'll need to make a bag with less salt like you have to plain chips which I absolutely love
Recommend but only if you pick up or get it delivered. NO SHIPPING!!! The way it's packaged you predominantly get a bag of smashed chips/crumbs. Not good.
This variety pack was not good in my opinion. The only good ones are Funyuns Doritos and cheddar ruffles. Which they give you more of the blah ones and less of the tastier ones. I won't buy again.
Lays used to be my favorite potato chips then they switched to frying their potatoes in soy oil which leaves a terrible aftertaste. More than any other product Lays believes in Shrinkflation. The party sized bag is smaller than what the large sized bag was 10 years ago. Pretty soon all they're going to have is the little bags that used to sell for 49 cents except they'll cost 5 bucks and be labeled as a large. It's incredible that Lays thinks we don't notice when they keep making the bags smaller and changing the names. I buy these once in awhile because the sour cream flavor masks the taste of the soy oil. One thing they could save money on but refuse to is salt. These potato chips are super salty. They should be labeled as Salt with potato flavoring. Back in the day when I'd open a bag of Lays it would have huge chips inside like absolutely huge. Those days are gone, it seems like they are now only using little potatoes to make their chips out of. Most of the chips aren't any bigger than 2 inches and a 2 inch chip is a big chip in a Lays bag. Over half the back is crumbs. It's almost as if someone is crushing the chips on purpose. It doesn't seem possible how such a higher percentage of the chips are crushed into little tiny pieces? Sometimes I wonder if disgruntled employees are grabbing the bags and crushing as many chips as they can to get out their frustrations?
Chips were thick. No flavor on the chips. No salt on the chips. I bought 2 bags, I threw them away. This product did not taste like a food product would taste. I have purchased this item many times and was satisfied.
Potato chips have changed in texture. It happened about 3 years ago. They are TOO crunchy. And they are drier. I guess they changed the oil they cook them in. I definitely don't like the change.
