I had been using Instacart with little to no satisfaction. They came hours late, they were missing items, “they said they couldn’t find “, or simply placed my groceries at someone else’s house! I cannot walk! The person that was responsible for bringing my groceries to my door did an excellent job of getting everything I asked for and all in two hours! No substitutions, no annoying texts, no excuses why my milk was hot or why my grapes were almost gone four hours after I had placed my order! I will not be using instacart again Gwen
These beef chunk tips are one of my favorite slow-cooker staples. I simply add them to the crockpot with beef broth, a packet of dry onion soup mix, a packet of brown gravy mix, and a can of cream of mushroom soup, then let everything cook low and slow throughout the day. By dinnertime, the beef is incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Served over buttered egg noodles, it's the ultimate comfort meal. The meat is so tender you can cut it with a fork!
This is some of the most versatile and delicious meat Walmart offers. You can do so much with this stew beef. Beef pies, oxtails, beef burgundy, stew, you name it. To me, the price is great for the amount you get, and I have never gotten a yucky piece. Pieces are great, chewable sizes, and make cooking a breeze.
Normally, when I buy stew meat, I inspect each piece and cut off any remaining fat. Because I purchased the Lean stew meat, I didn't have to trim any of the pieces! The meat was perfect and ready to cook. I made beef stew for dinner and the taste and texture of the lean beef was superb. I definitely recommend this product, and I will buy it again.
I use this meat for stews as well as other recipes. I am very picky about the amount of fat on my meat so I would prefer even less, but I think most people would find it acceptable. I brown the meat prior to adding it to stew then I simmer it for a couple of hours. It then becomes extremely tender. I feel it has more flavor when browned and seasoned prior to putting in to stews, soups, or other recipes
I had got it the week before and it was delicious and tender, so I got it again it was so tough we could not eat it, so I tried cooking it longer but that did NOT HELP, so trash can got it! I am on a very limited budget so no more beef from Wal-Mart for this 82yo lady!
At $9.46 per pound, my trays land around $12–$13, which is fair for the category. Still, this cut isn’t for me. I’m not big on red meat, and the texture comes off tough with more fatty streaks than I’d like. It cooks up greasier than expected. My family enjoys it, so I’d buy it again for them— but personally, I’ll skip dinner on the nights this hits the table. It gets the job done, just not for my taste.
Super fatty, tiny cuts of meat. Was more like small chunks of hamburger than stew meat. had to throw quite a bit away due to large chunks of fat. Expensive for item recieved. I would not recommend, nor would I buy again.
This was part of the order where the delivery driver did not follow instructions. They did not ring my doorbell, so I had no idea that the food was there until an hour later. Most all of the non-perishable items were bad as they had been sitting out in the 90° weather for that long .
I ordered it through pickup. when I got home I noticed it was put in another plastic bag, because the meat was losing blood and it was also one day until used by date. the next day I opened the package and many pieces of the meat had browned and had a foul smell, I threw it away.
