Learning Resources 1-2-3 Build It Car-Plane-Boat, Building Toys, Ages 2+

I bought this product for my two year old grandson and it is perfect for his age and ability. The pieces are large enough for little hands to manipulate, a little challenging but not enough to frustrate him.

The objects are built very well and are easy to put together. My son loves to build the car, boat and plane. He doesn't get tired of playing with it. This is something that everyone should buy for a young child. I'm looking for other products from them.

The 1-2-3- Build it Car-Plane-Boat is a neat toy concept. Using the same pieces to build 3 different modes of transportation extends the playtime for this toy, keeps it interesting, and allows the kids to get creative in their pretend play. My 2.5yr old enjoyed playing with this toy, but she needed a little help with the initial setup of each vehicle. I didn't mind though, because it gave us good bonding time together. Similar to puzzles I would ask her to find a certain piece and, with guidance, she would put the toy together herself. The pieces are nice and large, making it easy for her to grab. Also, I liked how the pieces fit together easily, making it perfect for young kids to assemble. Unfortunately, she was only interested in building/playing with the boat. Any attempt to disassemble the boat was futile. My daughter was protective of her boat, like a mama bear protecting her cub . . . but I can see this toy getting more play value once my daughter lets go of her boat obsession.

We LOVED the 1-2-3 Build it Car-Plane-Boat. I also love that there are more products coming into the 2+ age category with Learning Resources. There are lots of children in our extended family (6 presently with 2 more on the way - 2 weeks old through 5 years) and this toy was a hit with all of the ones above 1 year old. It was engaging with easy to follow instructions and the pictures on the box were very helpful when one of them was holding (hoarding!) the paper directions. The way the toys have different holes for the pieces allowed them a good trial and error process and also had them reference different parts/pieces/shapes, etc. The way the toys are set up, we were able to have one kid do each part (put the wheels on, add the person to the final product, put the base together...) so there was option to take turns and share. The other big win in my opinion was that there was more than 1 thing to build and that they are designed so you are NOT using all of the pieces with each one. It was interesting for me to watch them engaging with one another to figure out if they missed something or if there were just extra pieces for the next project to build. Finally, it's helpful to have 3 different options with one product. Obviously, so they keep coming back, but also when you have more than 1 child playing, there can be increased engagement (and again, sharing)!

This toy is phenomenal! My 3 year old son has built and re-built all 3 (car, plane and boat) countless times over the span of 2 weeks. It is one of the first things he will grab and will sit for quite a long to time build and play with each item. We have used the box for storing the toy and it has held up amazing with the chaos in the house! My son uses the photos to build each of the items but the directions are wonderfully written for his age. My husband will play with the toy after bedtime too! We received this toy as part of an incentive program but will go out and buy it as gifts for everyone! It is really well made, easy to play with and promotes some great fine motor skills, learning and imagination. The steering wheel has been used to steer almost everything in the house. Such a great innovation and so easy to manipulate and build. I really can't say enough about it!

My three year old daughter and I really enjoy playing with this new toy. I was able to guide her to look at the pictures on the instructions and select the correct pieces for each one we were building.She really loved taking it apart and starting on the next one and that she was able to do it on her own. She played with it for a little bit and then wanted to start over again. There are not many things that keep her occupied for long and we have played with this several times and it holds her attention.It would be nice to have a case to store this item but for now we just put it back in the box, it is sturdy and stacks nicely on the bookshelf. We will definitely be recommending this product :)

I ordered 1-2-3 Build It Car-Plane-Boat and am so happy with it. It comes is a great box that is so colorful. My kids couldn't wait to open it! The box is very sturdy so I use it to store the toy set away when we are not using it. It has an instruction guide that has large colorful pictures that make it very easy for the kids to follow. There are pictures that are marked with each step to assist the child in building each vehicle. The pieces are very durable and brightly colored. I have had ages 2 all the way up to 10 playing with this set. They are having fun taking the vehicles apart and putting them back together. They all love it. I would highly recommend this building set! I received this product as part of an incentivized review program.

I used this project as a STEM activity in a kindergarten classroom. The students had to pick which vehicle they wanted to build, look at the picture directions to pick it the parts, and work together to build their vehicle. The students impressed me with their teamwork and problem solving skills! They also loved testing out their vehicle.

Such a cute concept. With the parts that are provided, you can build a car, plane, or boat just like the name implies. My daughter loves connecting and disconnecting the parts, and it keeps her busy for a long time! I just wish you could use all the parts to build one large vehicle. Cons: One of the wheels broke within the first few days of my toddler playing with it. She's not really strong enough to break it, so I believe it's just poor quality. I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

This looks great but actually it was not very popular. You have to push so hard to put the pieces together so it was too difficult for our 2 year old. The four-year-old had to put it together for him but it was too basic and boring for him to play with. Also the boat doesn't float.
