The AlphaBee is a lovely bee shaped carrier filled with letters numbers and shapes. This lovely set is is the perfect size for small hands to carry and the pieces are nice and chunky. The set comes with a set of double sided cards, to help with number, letter and shape recognition. I got this for my just gone 4 year old to help with his letter recognition and early words, and he absolutely loves it!. I really like the fact that the letters are double sided, so will teach children both capitals and lower case letters. The cards are colour coded to match the letters, which makes things slightly easier for younger children, so they don't feel so overwhelmed. The numbers have spots on the back, to teach children 'how many' each number looks like. The set is very well made, and the blocks fit nicely back into the bee, and it even has handy letters and numbers on the bee so you know where they go. Although this set is from aged 2, to start teaching recognition, it is also great for my 4 year old and 6 year old, as the uses for it are endless, so please don't discount this set as too young for your little one, as I'm sure we will be using it for quite some time! I would DEFINITELY recommend these.!
What a lovely educational toy. I got this for my niece as she is starting to learn the alphabet/colours/numbers. She loved that it was a bee and was carrying it around with her to different rooms to show everyone. She enjoyed removing all the blocks and putting them back in different places. It was great to be able to point at a letter and ask what it was. We sang the alphabet song whilst pointing out each letter. The guide sheets are great and i can see how as show grows this will become more and more helpful. Very sturdy and well made and great value for money in my opinion as she was have and use this for years. It is very versatile depending on what they are learning at that point. Definitely recommend.
My son practices recognition of the alphabet and the letter sounds with it. Since the pieces are plastic I can remove them and use them in sensory bins. However it doesn't really come with any real guide for ideas for use like other Learning area pieces toys I have bought before. I do love that it comes with its own storage case.

I would think an educational product would come with some instruction for lessons or making a game of it. It makes no sense other than showing what alpha or numeric or shape square piece looks like. The cards are good for showing what letter is used in a word. Why show a word the kids can't spell with the pieces available? Really generic if you ask me.
