I intensively searched for this product and this was the best price/value I found. When the product arrived I was thrilled by the quality - very sturdy and also cute!
My kids love this toy! They are 2 and 3 and dont quite know to use it for measuring but they still love it and will learn as they get older.
I am homeschooling my kindergartener daughter. She loves playing with the balance set, trying to make water or little toys balance out. I find it is essential for visualizing how quantities differ in weight. We use it for hypothesizing (Pom poms to marbles etc.). I love how sensitive it is to weight increments. We like the bears too. She plays with them all the time with or without the scale. We use them for patterning, counting, addition, etc. It comes with two lids but I don't see the purpose; they don't snap on rather they sort of sit on top. It also has a drawer but it doesn't fit even half of the little bears so we don't ever use the drawer.

Disappointed - does not properly calibrate so cannot perfectly compare weights. 4-year-old noticed difference & frustrated. Hanger and two paper cups would be about as accurate, cheaper & easier to store. Expected more from Learning Resources! Plastic is sturdy but clear bucket came scratched.

We can't get the scale to balance properly.
