Learning Resources Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab - STEM Toys, Ages 5+

I haven't used it yet. I bought it as a gift for my niece. She likes experiments. I believe this is a unique toy that helps kids to stay engaged in an educational thing that is also fun and also help them grow their insights. I also bought another toy from learning resources and I did not see anything like it. They are my no. 1 choice when it comes to toys from now on along with Montessori.

What a great Easter surprise for my active 7 yr old Science loving grandson! He absolutely loves it, and I can send more "critters" to create! It is colorful,safe,fun, and price was very reasonable. Thanks Learning Resources!! A happy Grandmom

My kids had fun finding out what they "hatched." The set is easy to use ( we did have to fiddle with the hose lengths to prevent kinks, otherwise my kids could have put it all together on their own). Any water overflow is contained with the clear plastic base, which caught all the extra foam/water. My 8 year old continued to play with the syringes and pretended to be a science on tv talking about their discoveries. Good for some scientific inquiry, observation, and imaginative play.

I used the Beaker Creatures Super Lab with my 3 and 6 year old granddaughters today. They really enjoyed the process. It was easy enough for the 6 year old to do independently and the reaction was fascinating and fun for both of them. Having the little creature to identify and play with was an added bonus! I can't wait to try some of the other experiments with them and get them some more creatures!

This is a variation on the childhood favorites of baking soda volcanoes and bath-bombs, with a little mad-scientist and collector frenzy thrown in. I've purchased many subscription boxes for more than this kit which had much less play time. Suggestions: set up the "lab" before your child arrives. There are two tubes that are a little tricky to attach and parts that must be securely snapped in place (without breakage) for it to work. A thin plastic spill guard is included, but a sheet pan would work better and an old towel to sop up food color spills is handy. You will need to purchase more creature pods to add to this initial collection or substitute small bath bombs (some have toys inside).This can also be used for other play, such as color mixing.

Wild experiment was cute and the kids had fun and it was enjoying to see them see it find the little creatures it did not come with the slime that was promised on the Box or any other ingredients to make the slime. This is very disappointing they are disappointing that I had to have all the ingredients to make the slime for whatever experience cause in that case I would just make slime on my own and not need the Box itself. Other than that the kids had fun.

We were really excited about doing this experiment together. However, at the moment of pushing down the two towers, it seemed like there was too much air somewhere. And so the towers never went down even after much pushing down. We eventually had to throw water on the bomb to achieve the same effect as the water coming through the tubes would.
