Fun and educational little toy. The kids enjoys it. They learn how to let the mouse go back and fore, turn right/left, and they program by themselves. This is a cool toy, easy to use, fun colorful coding mouse for the kids to learn the first step to how program.
Very cute little toy, my toddler enjoy it so much. She learn how to program by herself, let the mouse go back and fore, turn right/left, very smooth, no issue. Long battery, my daughter play for a week, still going strong, guessing the durability is about a month, depend on how many hours kid play, Toddlers enjoy and interact with each other.
Thanks Learning Resources for our free Code & Go Robot Mouse. It brought fun and creative learning to our household and we loved reviewing it. This is an easy to use, fun colorful coding mouse for my grandson to learn to how program just like his favorite uncle. It's been a huge hit at our house! It's simple to follow instructions is a great way to introduce coding skills and creativity our younger generation with some exciting coding concepts. My 4yr old grandson started playing with the mouse seeing how it worked pushing the different buttons, as all learning kiddos do. Then once he figured out that he can use his magnet tiles, and other name brand building blocks, he was so excited as he built mazes and barriers and roads courses for the mouse's route. The nice quality sized picture cards are colorful and simple to help them to code the matching colored mouse buttons. The cards help direct the kids through creating sequences, or they be used as prompts to inspire creative problem-solving. The children are so fascinated as they watch the mouse move along the specific path they have created. The complete set is made well and is quite sturdy, which is great because my grandson and his cousins can get a little rough at playtime. I feel the Code & Go Robot Mouse a fantastic STEM toy! What a super gift idea for any child who wants to learn and be challenged while having fun. I highly recommend it for any parent, grandparent, teacher or preschool looking to combine fun and learning to broaden the next generation to use their minds and encourage creativity.
I now only wish we had bought one for our 12 year old twin grandchildren as well as for our 4 year old granddaughter. It takes a bit of working out, even for adults. We opted not to buy the board provided, but to run the mouse on a wooden floor with obstacles provided as needed.
We received this product to test with my 5 year old. I do agree that the activity guide could be slightly more detailed (or at least include additional photos so that my son could visualize different things to do with the mouse, but I appreciate the opportunities for exploratory learning. For example, we started off by asking him to find a sequence of moves that could have the mouse get around the corner of our kitchen island. While it's not usually his first choice of things to play with, I do think this is a great product to introduce students to coding. I see that there are other Learning Resources products that you can purchase to provide additional interactivity, but we were able to do a lot with toys and objects we already own (e.g., creating a maze using magnetic tiles and programming the mouse to get through).
This is a great introduction to to coding in younger kids although my 9 year old liked it I felt it would be perfect for someone a little younger. I found the instructions could have been slightly more detailed. My son also loved creating his own maze and trying to get Colby to the cheese.
This coding mouse is so cute! It holds my son's interest for such a long time. I really like that it causes him to stop and think before carrying out the task. He gets so excited to see the mouse go. I do however think that it is probably a better experience if you had more of the accessories kits for ease of play. It hasn't had its battery die yet and he plays with it every night after his sisters go to bed.
I bought a set of these for use in our school with K-2 students. They are so much fun! They are very cute and the kids love them. These mice are easy to use and the students had no trouble operating them. They don't always make a full 90 degree turn, but when that happens the kids very easily gave it a nudge to help it out. It depends on what surface you are using them on. There are other similar products out there at a much higher cost. This little toy is a great price for great functionality. I've already recommended this product to others and I'd do it again!
Fun and educational toy with great STEM potential. Works best with full accessory set. Needs clearer instructions and better distance control when not using the official mat.
I just receive my purchase today 18 march and it doesn't work. I'm disappointed because I had bought one last year and when we had to change the batteries, it did not work again. That's why I have purchased another and it costs a lot with money exchange and it's not working. I can not offer it to my niece for her birthday.
